mactracker doesn't use official apple shots though, it just uses icons people have created.

Huh?

Anyone know what apple loop color this is?

Almost certain that it's Dark Olive.

I am a developer. And for sure Apple will immediately ban such an app for using it's trademarks and product shots without permission.

I don‘t think so. There is a longstanding Mac and now also iOS app called „Mactracker“ that lists all models of Mac computers, iOS devices and accessories ever released and it also uses Apple product shots. Apparently, there never was a problem with this.

mactracker doesn't use official apple shots though, it just uses icons people have created.

That said, I think a watch band tracker could work if it relies on colors (maybe even just pulled from watch.app) instead of images of the bands. And to be honest, the images of the bands are not very indicative of the colors anyways.

How hard would it be to make generic icons for each band type and then colour them programatically? I think it should definitely be possible.

I have some limited iOS/Mac dev experience, would happily contribute to a project over the Summer if anyone wants to try and build a database app akin to Mactracker :p

Would anyone owning said bands be kind enough to post a comparative picture of the different nuances of orange sport bands released so far? I got an original one without the box and can’t tell which one it is comparing it to the Orange sport band only.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Every Apple Watch Classic Buckle Colour Apple released. Never. LOL

P.S. These are not some third party buckles but supposedly real engineering samples from Apple. They apparently have “Assembled in China” markings, as well as the tiny serial number on the lug release.

See, now that's just trolling us Space Black Stainless Steel, Gold Stainless Steel, Gold Aluminum and Rose Gold Aluminum owners. :p

I've swapped the silver lugs for black ones, but still have the silver buckles. I'd love to have black.
