Pine green is lighter than I hoped. I don’t know why Apple has such a problem with creating a legit dark green or a dark red sport band. It’s been five years and we keep getting bright greens or bright reddish pinks. Hey Apple, not everyone lives in sunny California. It might be nice for some dark band colors (Brown? Orange? Purple?) so those of us in the Midwest can have watch bands that better match the season.

You may turn out to be right, but still … 2 cases of this happening are not a "flood". I guess we will find out soon enough when more folks have these in hand and report how they hold up day-to-day.
If past seasons are any indicator, we have what 6-8 weeks before the most popular bands sell out?
I think I've ordered all my must haves. Still on the fence about some of the Nike loops, let's see some pics in 2 weeks!

I would love that Meyer Lemon Leather Loop as it looks somewhat similar to Sunflower (at least on the online renders) as well as not having to worry about mismatching lugs, and also, Apples marketing picture of the Edition Watch with it looks pretty good. I'm however locked out automatically because I have 40mm and not 44mm :/ :/

Ah thats right, that's annoying.
Modern Buckle is for the smaller watch & leather loops only fit the bigger ones...

Did they have the Pulse band or the Desert sand loop?
Yeaaahhh i was very bummed when i opened my package. Really wanted a forest green. Back it goes to apple today.. seems like apple is avoiding darker shades and duplicating past bands pretty well.
Didn‘t you get Pacific Green when it was available? That one was very dark.
Nah i didn’t get the chance. I was referring to a nice middle ground between the light green bands they released and the almost blackish green pacific.
With the amount of shades they have for blue and yellow, you would think they could start concentrating on a different color..

ooh I was wondering what the desert sand/volt looks like! I’m waiting for mine by mail. I was wondering if I’d regret the purchase but I’ll definitely be keeping it. Thanks for posting!
They’re definitely trying to recreate the hype around the Hyper Grape Nike loop, as I suspected. This Desert Sand/Volt is serving some Goosebumps cover realness. Just like the nostalgia for the soda cup with the Hyper Grape 😂

I agree. I got Pine Green in hopes it would be similar to Pacific Green which I missed out on (got the iPhone XS case in that colour and I love love love it!) but it's not quite what I had hoped for. I've got a knock-off that's the perfect colour, but is that awful silicon feeling, and would love the real deal. Maybe next fall?
That said, when I was in the store yesterday I saw the red band and it looked really nice, not washed out or flat like it has in the past. Might pick one up.
I was actually in the market for the pure platinum nike band but like the subtle tan on the desert sand so I order it!
Does anyone know why the new modern buckle bands weren’t made available yet? I went to order one right after the keynote last week and it was already pushed back! And no stores have stock in them like they do the other bands. Wondering if it hasn’t even been made available yet?
I ended up ordering the Alaskan Blue sport loop and the Black/Pink blast sport band. I got the sport loop yesterday and it's exactly what I was hoping for! Gorgeous blues and it fills a whole in my collection. I was on the fence about the Pink blast but the pictures in definitely swayed me. I'm glad that I already have it on order. I didn't know if I needed the Hyper Grape sport band and this one but yes, yes I do.
This is not helping my wallet. Royal Pulse/Lava Glow now looks intriguing. Add to that Midnight Blue, Clementine and possibly Khaki. Mind you, I already have Alaskan Blue Band & Loop. Royal Pulse/Black and Desert Sand/Volt aka Hyper Grape 2.0 are inbound.
