Does anyone know how the soft white sport band that comes with the ceramic edition compares with the regular white band? They look awfully similar

I dont own soft white, but from owning original white and then “2017 white” that was my only choice when ordering SS S3, it’s nothing wild. Sad that they don’t do the Cloud band anymore, if only because the name is cool. In grabbing these photos, I see the ceramic that year already had soft white. Compare below, 2019 on left, 2017 on right, looks like the lightest of eggshell type variation:

Here’s the Sunflower Classic Buckle on a Titanium Watch.

To be honest, the lugs not matching, sure, it’s not a crystal clear match as it was with the Stainless Steel Watch, but it’s also note it’s not as bad as I was expecting and to be honest for me, it’s passable. I think it’s definitely better than Stainless Steel lugs with a Silver Aluminium Watch.

I’d rather have that minor minute detail I don’t think people will notice upfront rather than sell off my Classic Buckles, although also consider as Apple has started making bands with lugs for different materials, they should now also think of Titanium too.

I picked up my Ceramic S5 yesterday. I can confirm the Soft White sport band included in the box is absolutely identical in color to the Soft White bands that were available with the series 3 watches (save for the White Ceramic pin and the 44mm marking printed on the reverse).

By contrast, the white sport band available now - first introduced last September - is a noticeably “cooler” shade of white, more blue-greyish.

I’m sorry but my photography skills are woefully inadequate to accurately visualize the difference between the two.

That titanium finish is magnificent. Enjoy.

does anyone ever buy a second copy of a rare band you own (if its a really good price) just to have a spare? i just got myself a brand new sealed nike + pearl pink sport loop for under $40 just because

I definitely do. I have one spare of the original Blue (first and second edition each), Yellow, Green, Ultraviolet, Blue Horizon, Nike Blue Orbit/Gamma Blue, Nike Violet Dust/Plum Fog, Nike Silver/Volt, Nike Silver/White, Nike Black/Volt, Nike Platinum/White and Nike Anthracite/Black sport bands.

Furthermore I have 3 spares of the original Royal Blue sport band, 2 spares of the Midnight Blue with gold pin sport band and also 2 spares of the original Orange sport band.

And last Thursday I drove along 5 stores of the Belgian Apple reseller Switch because they had some nice bands on sale. I bought two Milanese Gold loops for just €49 and two Cape Cod sport loops, two Indigo sport loops, one Turquoise sport band and one Nike Light Violet/White sport band for just €19 each.

(All bands mentioned above in 42/44mm)

I have a question:

The product(red) looks different than the summer or spring edition .... does someone confirm that with a picture?

I love the titanium case. Please let us know how the finish holds up

Will do! Yeah its something different for me, coming from someone who's had Stainless Steel for 3 years. I would describe Titanium as more 'sharp' looking whereas the Stainless is more shiny/glossy. Not implying ones prettier than the other, just a matter of taste which you prefer.

As for this thread, I'm just trying on as many of my existing bands with the Titanium, hope they all look as nice as they did with the Stainless!

So the S5 edition soft white band with ceramic pin doesn’t have the pebble underside (the included two tone soft white version with the S3 ceramic White edition?).

Thanks for the report but I feel you‘re a little quick to judge. Some idiot may indeed have taken keys or something similar to „test“ the hardness of the Titanium. FWIW, I saw a Titanium demo model in Cologne this afternoon and it was a) gorgeous and b) flawless. P.S. The ceramic models alway had that gap (and also the gap between screen and Watch body).

Those pictures looked similar to the Titanium watches at Apple Metrocentre. The lad got them out from the locked draw under the table for me to look at and they were scratched. He seem me inspecting it and confirmed they were scratched and had only been with them for 24-36 hours. Shame, it would have been the one I'd have gone for as a contrast with my SBSS S4.

Might just pickup the new black leather strap instead.

Yeah, in the dedicated thread there are also users with Titanium Watches with scratches; others have no problem. Would be too bad if this was a general problem and not just mishandling or a bad batch.

Yeah, I'm holding out on it for now. If it is a problem and they get a lot of returns they may do something about it. If not, they may beef up the protective coating for next year. Looked great, other than the scratches.

I'm honestly kinda bummed about the white band with the ceramic watch- the cloud band with the s2/s3 was a nice mix between white and gray and it was a great offset between the two.

Yea I really liked the look of the series 3 band too and was hoping either would appear again but it’s just white with ceramic pin.
