Scored a Blue Orbit/Gamma nike on eBay for $60, now on the hunt for Ultraviolet (or maybe Apple will finally release a proper purple band).

Whoaaa that’s lucky! Ive been looking out a Long time... seems only 38/40mm available at more reasonable prices..

That's a very nice and flattering shot of the Ultraviolet - most of the time IRL it looks more blue and less purple to me.

It’s actually a really vibrant purple/violet. Had to turn on the flash on my phone otherwise in dim lighting it doesn’t come out in pictures.

I've had one since they were released. I would not characterize it as a really vibrant purple/violet. Compared to, say, the purple they used on the Nike Black/Hyper Grape Sport Band, it's pretty dark.

does "electric" sound right? not sure how to actually describe it.. but there's a richness in that purple shade..

So I’m really liking the look of the leather loop on my ceramic, and really surprised at how comfortable it is (compared to sport bands.. omg stop me from buying more leather loops...). But I can’t help feeling this “black” looks more dark gray than full black.
Does anyone have the original black as a comparison?

Does anyone have the original black as a comparison?

The original black leather is really dark black. The new black, as you saw, is not really a true dark black as many might hope for. I sold my original black a while back. I kinda wish I had hung onto it, given the look of the new black.

Fortunately there aren't many colours like the sport band.. I am interested in the white one, just worried only on the dirtying risk... oh wellss..

I think you are right about 1 and 7, and 6 could be apricot, but I haven’t collected a nectarine or clementine yet to compare. Original orange could be considered and spicy orange is not very different, so that one (6) needs closer checking before I’m sure.

Really? My impression of 1 is cornflower cos of the light blue sort of shade..

6 might be nectarine or papaya.. I don’t have a super light cream orange band so am not sure about 7..

I think there's too much gray and way too little sky blue in #1 for it to be Cornflower (or the chromatically adjacent original Blue and second gen Blue). It looks more like the Lavender Gray in your photo (and in my collection at home). Closer to Azure than Cornflower. It is tricky though, because many pics have widely differing lighting.

oh yes true, i forgot about azure.. still do not have full blue collection and they all differ by tiny shades LOL..

Blue is my favorite color so needless to say I'm quite happy about that and hope they keep them coming but I do agree that blue has had the most variations in sport bands. It would be nice to see them expand that sort of attention into other colors. Purple would be fantastic and I could live with some variations of green as well.

In the mean time, I have an Anchor Gray Sport Loop and Black Leather Loop coming. One thing I noticed this evening is that Anchor Gray is available in Regular (145-220mm) and XL (170-245mm). I believe other than Black Sport Band, it's the only other band available for larger wrist sizes.
