this is a real thing, I actually returned my first band to the store for a replacement before I realized they were all like that in 2019. You have to press them down and they don't stick as firmly. The older bands stuck more readily and have a stronger bond when you go to pull them off.
Apple should buy the Velcro company! lol

Neon Lime Sport Loop - hopefully I attached the pics correctly.

I forgot to respond on the thinner feel. My Flash band feels thinner (or perhaps more flexible) than others. I got it from Chargerstore and it looks just as genuine as all the others from there so I assumed it might be down to the composition as someone said above.

I have four of the five new bands on the way (no Lime Blast) so I’ll see what I think on Tuesday (or maybe even Monday).

So I got a Turquoise band a bit ago finally and when Beryl came out, they were SO CLOSE that didn't get Beryl. I feel like this is similar to that.
I hear that - my wife has both. However... she has a jacket that is an almost perfect match for Turquoise and Beryl looks awful against it. She also has a green dress that’s a perfect match for Beryl and isn’t good with Turquoise. They are close but one is blue and the other green, and they aren’t interchangeable.

I still didn’t get Beryl for myself. We want to get all the Sport Bands over time, but between us as there are colours I’d never wear, and colours my wife would never wear, but they are not the same colours.

I get that...and I'm sure before long I may get the Cactus band. But like you, I have a wife who has a collection as large as mine, and two kids who have about 14 bands each....so this hobby can get expensive. Lol! I've been slowly acquiring colors over time from different vendors online, eBay and some forums.

So this release we've ordered the ones we're sure we want from the bands and loops and we'll work on the "meh" options in the next few months.

I feel waaay better now - the kids are young adults and are on their own if they want to get into Apple Watch bands, and neither of us are keen on the loops, so we aren’t tempted by those.

Here is the Black/Volt next to the Black/Lime Blast. I am probably going to return the Lime Blast. They are too similar.
See, to me, the difference is relatively slight, but I like the Lime Blast a whole lot better, because it's decidedly green, rather than yellow. Happy to see real-life side-by-side pics, thanks.

My Nike Midnight Turquoise/Aurora Green Sport Band came today. Surf Blue was mailed separately for some reason will not come in until Monday. It is so strange not to be able to go to Apple and pick these up directly in the store.

So this band main color is almost identical, if not exactly like Dark Teal. Here is next to the Dark Teal Sport Band and last Spring's "blue" Nike Sport Band, I forgot the strange name this one had. The "inside" color is brighter and darker than Marine Green and either color on last Spring Nike "Blue" band.

Wow what a satisfying breakdown. Teal tint/tropical twist Nike you’ve got there. Would love the same triangulation between cactus and celestial teal Nike and dark teal or whatever is closest.

Oof okay that’s rough. I am firmly in the “2019 last Velcro oval doesn’t quite stick right without extra pressure” camp so I believe everyone.

Ok, update: I now put some pressure in the other direction (towards the watch body) while sliding in the band and it finally clicked. :) So I‘ll keep the strap for now and see if I warm to it more. Maybe I was just irritated because it wasn‘t the colour I expected.

I agree, but for me it’s a whole lot better than the only band I have that I actively dislike. I expect I’ll end up buying it at some point despite that as it will always grate that I don’t have one otherwise.

Thanks for those.

I’m a bit “hmmmm” now. I was hoping that was the best band of the release, but I have Dark Teal already and it’s part of my “nice colour but nothing to wear it with” range. Adding light green spots isn’t going to make it any more wearable.

I saw a blanket for sale on eBay with the Breathe app icon embroidered on it, and an Apple logo, both in a light teal color. From my understanding, this is an internal challenge prize? Can anyone shed more light on this?

edit: I know this is a bit off topic, but if anyone else knows about this blanket’s origins, I would assume they’d be lurking around here somewhere.

I feel like Apple releases a new blue every refresh. Can someone fact check this? There's like 2x as many blues as most other colors. Wonder why.
I was intrigued / sad enough to check - but only for Sport Bands.

Based on the chart of all bands that is pretty well definitive there have been three new season drops with no blue bands. The last time was actually winter 2019. The others were Winter 2017 (unless you count Dark Teal as a blue) and Winter 2018 when closest was Pacific Green.

I want to say there could be a pattern there...

Fall and Winter 2019 were the only periods since the first season (Spring 2015) where there was only one blue band available (Alaskan Blue). The most available at any one time was five in Spring 2016 (Turquoise, Blue G2, Lilac, Royal and Midnight G1), and Summer 2017 (Turquoise, Mist, Azure, Ocean and Midnight G1).

It was common to have four blue choices until Summer 2018 when it dropped to three until Summer 2019 when we had four once more for one season, before the drop to one.

So, arguably blue is now a lot less common than it was in the early days.

Well, the inside color is not green is a medium-lite Aqua color. Basically it a darker version of the infamous Nike Blue Orbit/Blue Gamma Sport Band. The inside color is almost the same on both of them. Hopefully, that helps you decide.

The other person, yes Teal, Aqua and Cyan are all shades of blue.

I’m a bit “hmmmm” now. I was hoping that was the best band of the release, but I have Dark Teal already and it’s part of my “nice colour but nothing to wear it with” range. Adding light green spots isn’t going to make it any more wearable.

Can’t wait for them to get here. My wife is gonna kill me. LOL.

That’s $500 + Tax. I hope you’re making $30+ an hour, or know how to hide bank statements from your wife.

judt got the surf blue sport loop, very nice blue and brown color hues. Much better looking and more vibrant than the midnight blue they put out last season. Likely will be a keeper.

also added a comparison to the midnight blue from last season release. Both are a little bit lighter in pictures than they are in real life.

thanks for posting this. This one band intrigued me a lot. The photos you’ve posted make the brown hues look more gray. Is that the case?

Many people on this forum drop tens of thousands a year on Apple products, I’ve gotten used to it. ;)

ok, here are a few post with photos...

first the midnight turquoise/aurora green nike is basically a dark teal band.

I also have it next to the hyper crimson/neptune green, the green on the loop is basically a dark teal

(the 3 green bands grouped together are spearmint, pine and khaki)
