Yes I collect and wear 38mm bands :) the seller said it’s the very first one but I’m just wanting to be sure. The first gen is darker than the second correct? The photograph I kept shows a fair amount of difference in shades. If this is the darker of the two, the second one must be a really baby soft blue huh?
Thanks so much Peter!

I posted some pictures a while ago comparing the first and second generation blue band. So you should check there. Indeed the first generation is a bit darker than the second.

Does anyone on here try collecting them all? What about the Cloud White band that is only sold with the ceramic editions?

Many people do. I, for instance, have every Sport band in 42mm, including Hermès orange and Cloud. Lucky find on eBay.

Pretty cool!

I think my wife would kill me if I had different shades of the same color! I ask in this group because I bought a ceramic watch and I never wear the white cloud. I'd be interested in a trade if anyone had a couple colors I don't have. Is that allowed or is there a place on here for that?

Good question - maybe a moderator could answer. Not sure how that works on a forum as large as MacRumors...

I got the cloud on eBay as well. I have almost all the blues and neutrals, as well as a few pretty colors :)

As a heterosexual male, you didn't offend me. I was just pointing out that you were conditioned wrongly by society.

Did you know that not that long ago, pink was often noted for baby boys? And it was done this way for marketing sales. And the same kind of thing has happened ever since; kids and adults being conditioned by marketing as to what is deemed good to buy for male or femaie. Its all a pile of crap. Wear what makes you happy.

Hello there,

Am I right thinking that some of those are doubles (I believe there are two same "red"-s and two same "orange"-s)? And you do not collect the Nike style ones, do you? Sorry for my questions - just very-very curious
[doublepost=1521532815][/doublepost]
First, that model number brings up a 38mm band, not a 42. Next, noting that the first gen blue 42mm begins with MJ4, I would also assume the one you are asking about is a first gen. Hope this helps.
wow... Where can I see the whole file, part of which you showed in that image? I mean - I don't want to know which colors do you have, but I would be excited to know, which colors does exist and how the corresponding Model number sounds like. Can you share it with me/us?

I myself am curious as to Apple’s color creation process...a few of the colors are indeed similar. White/Soft White, Fog/Concrete, both (PRODUCT)RED versions, Spicy Orange/Hermès orange, and a few of the blues...

I created a chart of my own design that has evolved as I continued collecting. Over time, my collection simply migrated to obtaining every 42mm Sport band. I have 5 Nike Sport bands — some of the colors just do not appeal to me at all, lol. I also have 5 Woven Nylon striped bands, but again, not all of those are my top interests, either. I’m sure i’ve shared this, but here, once again.

I am collecting only unique ones - I do have all olympic bands, both Pride editions (given in San Francisco and mass product ones), and also the NikeLab one. And I have around 20 of regular ones, which I do use. Thanks for the chart - that is a really interesting information!
[doublepost=1521554630][/doublepost]Here are my precccccioussss bands:
[doublepost=1521554666][/doublepost]P.s. I have some doubles, if anyone is interested (I hope I am not forbidden to say that?..)
[doublepost=1521555207][/doublepost]However, the model number of the green 42mm watch band is MJ4U2ZM/A (got one a week ago from here - https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0108LVPW2/)

Yeah...very cool. The Olympic bands are very hard to find these days. Nice collection. :) I ‘acquired’ an Apple employee PRIDE band, too. It’s framed on the card it was handed out on. NikeLab bone...lucky. ;)

Do you have the "activity rings" woven nylon band that Apple distributed to employees? I think that is the most difficult to obtain at the moment, and that is a shame because I really like the look of it.

I do not and actually nobody does have it really - the shipping is 4-6 weeks for all Apple Employees, as far as I know, so they will receive them in late March/April... but I also am looking for it :)

Sir... that list is AWESOME. For sure nobody will collect all of them - at least because the ones with 18k gold were never on sale separately from the original Edition watches... but the effort you put in the creation of that list deserves the highest amount of respect. Unbelievably cool job.
