I rebooted both my watch and phone and I am still not getting any of the new faces 😢

9to5Mac is reporting that while they were part of the fifth beta of watchOS 6.2.5, they seem to have been removed from the official release. Speculation is they will be part of iOS 13.5.

I don't think we will get access to these till the iOS is changed on our phones. The main pride one can be changed though just from the watch however, not your phone. You can customise the old pride band, to make it new. But the California one, we can't do till iOS 13.5 comes. I'm waiting eagerly to use with the Nike one!
I am not even able to change/update the pride face with 2020. My only options are 2018 and 2019.

So on your phone, you can choose the 2018 and 2019 one. Just do that. Then go to your watch, to that particular face, force touch and customise. You can then choose 2020. Also this is assuming you updated the watch software today/yesterday?

That “Olive” is definitely third party.

I really don’t see a reason to have more than maybe 5-8 of these. After that, new ones start to look like old ones. Unless I can get them for $5-10, I’ll pass.
Damn, I should've read to the next comment after the pic before poring over eBay and the image chart looking for this band. I just got pine green and it is much grayer than I expected so was excited to see a dark green I had somehow missed.

Mine looks identical to your picture. Hard to capture the lighting at Times. Easy solve. Thanks for taking that!!
Ugh, I want lilac so badly and haven't been able to find it anywhere. If anyone is looking to sell theirs...

It looks quite nice! I always thought it was more neon/fluorescent but this looks a bit more subdued, which I like.
I wouldn't describe it as subdued, but it's not neon either. It's a quite intense, lightish green. I've always really liked it.

I actually thought the photo was of Spearmint originally, but looking again it is a decent representation of what Green looks like to my eye.

Looks like I might be adding green to my want list if Apple doesn’t issue a good new green band next month! I have to go now and search up some more photos.

Chances of that happening? Low to zero is my guess. And that's without knowing what you consider a "good new green".

I don't hate any of them, but my take on the green efforts today:

Green: love it, but it's not the easiest to wear as it's so intense
Mint: looks like green Blutack, or chewing gum. Not terrible, but pretty "meh" unless it's picked up by clothing
Marine: I don't have it yet, but it looks too pale and possibly with a hint of blue
Spearmint: Fresh and bright, looks good, but again an odd colour to match unless clothing picks it up
Pacific: Again I don't have it yet, but looks like the "Midnight Blue" of the greens i.e. too dark
Pine: Hints of blue or grey in some lights take away from it being a good general purpose dark green
Khaki: Could have been a good mid-green, but it has just a hint too much brown that makes it slightly "sludgy"
Beryl: Very hard to tell apart from Turquoise. So pale it's barely green at all
Cactus: Alongside green it looks blue and alongside blue it looks green

I just want a nice bottle green, not super-intense and not with undertones of another colour

I forgot the Nikes, which are some of my most favourite bands of all

Cargo Khaki: probably my all-time favourite band when in a black Watch, but it's very dark and quite military looking so doesn't work with a business shirt in the office
Olive Flak: again I love it with a black Watch, but again it looks military so only useable for casual outfits

Great summary of the greens! The original green is growing on me but like you I feel like it might be a bit intense and bright. I will think about it some more.

I’ve been on the fence about mint for a while (you’ve actually shared some good insight and photos with me). I have also contemplated both turquoise and beryl and of the two I think I prefer turquoise. However I also think I would love marine green based on the photos I’ve seen. Please share photos when you get it!

I have both pine green and khaki and really enjoy them both. I like the warmer tones of khaki a lot.

In terms of what I mean when I say a “good” green, I would like something like a Kelly or emerald green. British racing green would also be good but I like warmer greens more.

For those who only ordered the Nike pride, will you also order the striped pride band now that you’ve seen more photos of it in real life?
My wife is getting the Pride band in 40mm. Based on that I'll decide if I need it in 44mm. I suspect I might end up buying it to have one, but I might not open the box. At this point I don't think I'd ever wear it. They arrive tomorrow to us in NZ as Apple has stopped committing to overnight delivery from Sydney recently - hopefully Covid related rather than a permanent thing.
