My second copy of red/gold (gold buckle) has major issues sliding into my s4...remember the female area of the s4/5 is a little steeper and different depth and these woven nylon lugs suffer the most as the band part doesn’t exert a ton of force like even the sport loops do...I can’t tell if it’s the plastic not being shaved down enough or what but I always manage to get it in and and then have to go a little sword in the stone to get it out.

And then I have another woven nylon where the middle button is actually kinda falling out of the bottom and I have to tuck it up to get the lug to slide in. Sometimes sliding from the left works better?

As for that Tahoe nylon I find it pretty drab, reminds me of an old hand me down tie from my dad. I have Tahoe stripe coming soon once usps wakes up from this sudden nightmare they seem to be having with all my $20 Mercari finds, it seems more watery beautiful like the Tahoe loop.

I have a Tahoe one coming in, let’s see if it gives me the dreaded slide issue on my S4. Will definitely share when I receive it. The striped Tahoe is nice. You find the regular Tahoe drab but I’m actually looking forward to it and I think will pair nicely with stainless steel and a mid casual look. For $14 new with box I can’t really complain lol

Do you guys think the color will wear out in the Nike Pride Band? Especially in the hole I’ll put the pin through? I know the regular Pride Sport Band won’t have that problem since it is made of 6 solid colors squished together, but I haven’t seen info on how the Nike bands are made. Moreover, this one having the color only halfway through the hole is different from every other Nike Band.

I doubt it, purely based on my feeling that Apple stands by their products which are generally of high quality.

Pretty sure the color is the actual synthetic rubber and not paint. If that’s the case, it shouldn’t wear.

A word to EVERYONE in USA.

Guys. Many of you contacted me before to get some of my bands, but shipping due to pandemic made the deal worthless for us. Now we made the deal with toxtrepla and if you want - for some $ for shipping you can join us and your bands would be sent together with his parcel, and he could send them to you afterwards.

Please, if you are interested in this way of delivery - contact me.

Guys from US - you have time only this week!

For @jl.blass614

Direct sunlight shots of Navy/Tahoe, Black, and Tahoe Stripe. Sorry I couldn’t model my watch with them, it actually didn’t want to boot up today so I’ve left it on the charger.

I am looking for a blue sports band and wanted to see a comparison between various shades of blue specifically delft blue and the new Alaskan blue.

Can someone share few images if they have?

I appreciate that! Those are good photos. I ordered the Navy/Tahoe, it’s arriving later this week so I’ll be posting some pics with the watch. That Tahoe stripe looks good, the black stripe one they released is nice also. It’s my first time trying these bands so I’m looking forward to it hopefully minus the dreaded sliding issue.

I hadn't had issues of sliding but as I said I use a S1. Hope you enjoy them man. Some of my favorites. Wearing my blue stripe now!

Alaskan and Delft side by side. Alaskan is way more purple than blue to my eyes. I put it closer to Lavender Grey than any other band.

did you print these yourself or did you buy them?
Printed! PM me if you want to know more.

Welp. Add another spring band to the collection: Nike Black/Lime blast sport band. I don’t really own a true green band at all. I do have the black/volt but by eyes see only yellow on that one. Plus the silver pin makes it wayyyu different. Lol

Good choice! I think it gets a lot of hate for looking close to Volt, but side by side they are very different. I would love an entire sport band in that color green honestly. Reminds me of 90s Nickelodeon Slime.

The first Monday of June: 2017, 2018, 2019.
7 day countdown in-effect?
I hope you’re right. The fact that a huge chunk of the 2019 colors are finally discontinued and sold out on major retailers is a good sign.

Speaking of.... I wonder what Apple did with the excess stock in the retail stores during the store closures?

Pretty sure Apple has an internal website/platform where employees can buy discounted products, which include old stock Apple Watch bands. I’ve heard it be called qpromo, but would have no way of knowing myself. Whenever Apple switches seasons, apparently the extra stock they don’t sell gets put up on there for about $5-25 off.

I saw the separate portal around Christmas 2019, different storefront, the one deal they had for bands was the fall 2018 Smokey Mauve loop for $25, p random

Thank you for sharing the images.

Do you feel that the delft blue is very bright? As I am looking for a dull blue colour which is not too bright.

I posted a comparison photo in post 6765 between delft, surf and azure but there are lots of images of delft in this thread. Best way to find them is to do a search and limit it to this thread. IMO delft is a saturated medium blue. It’s not dull but it’s not bright either. I don’t have Alaskan blue but I’ve seen it - it’s darker and runs more purple.

I’m guessing you light bone seekers are all strapping 42mm folk...but Chargerstore has some $50 (‼) unmarked (has the special engraved mirror finish pin though) nikelab pieces...as a new convert to the black perforations, who is currently waiting for a good deal on Desert Sand and a cheap used PP/B to arrive, this was quite good timing. Bone might be the ultimate complement to the ivory shell of my edition. Lists defects in the top line description, too, but I think at this price, it’s a silly thing to worry about. I mean my pride band had some bleed on one of the blue Froot Loops and I sleep fine at night.

PS he has the black/black modern buckle now which gives hope for some newer bands to trickle out...although perhaps as people have speculated his time is up if they can manage to move all the band mfg to Vietnam.

How bizarre, wonder which step of production it was scrapped from to not get the printing.

Amen. The Pride 2020 bands also suggest that band design/production is firing on all cylinders, as they arrived much earlier than usual.

As for the stock during closure -- good question. From what I've read about Tim being good about managing product stock / flow, I'd imagine he called the excess back to handle online fulfillment perhaps? In my experience, stores here in Canada haven't had too much more than what is on display, which is not much more than a small handful of each model in each size. That being said, part of me wonders if the stores even received any of the spring batch in the first place considering they closed March 13th, and the lineup was released March 18th.

No problem. Delft is by favorite blue alongside Horizon. Neither are bright (which is why I like them) and are easy to ear with nearly everything.

My favorites tend to be more muted hues.

I would only assume Apple knew which stores they wanted to open next, and sent stock over to those as well. They plan these things out far in advance, so it’d make sense.

So, what point do you guys consider you’re trying to get to? Owning every single band, owning a specific set of ones you like, or just buying ones you like along the way?

For me, at least, I don’t see a reason to own all of them. Maybe if you already have all but 5, but even then, you’ve spent way too much money getting to that point. Striving to complete a set list is a good approach, but keeping your list consistent without changing it is quite difficult. Personally, I just buy ones I like along the way. I’ve bought many I’d never even consider before if I had a list. I’ve even bought duplicates just because the prices were good. hunting for them is fun, but it has to be in moderation. Otherwise I’d go and buy 30 from chargerstore.

I just want variety. I definitely sell bands that don't hit me after a while and don't buy them unless they're unique.

Cactus is a good example, it's close enough to Celestial Teal and I prefer to wear Spearmint so that one I'll let appreciate a little and sell off for at the very least, cost to me if not a profit.

That's the beauty of apple band collecting, they have value so it's kind of a test drive :)

I'm finally in spreadsheet territory. lol
