You guys make me wanna buy that yellow sport band on sale.
I have a 40 mm series 5, is it true that the old 38 mm bands are identical to the new 40 mm ones?

So today we have some winter sunshine, and here is the yellow family in some just inside a window daylight. The photo is straight from my 11 Pro Max, and they’re on a space grey iPad. I’d say mellow is a bit paler than IRL, but none of the baked in editing tools made it any better. I’m going to firm up what I said yesterday; if you only want one yellow Sport Band then Canary is the best option.

Mellow Yellow, Lemon Cream, Pollen, Canary Yellow, Yellow, Lemonade, Flash.

And to try to make amends for my earlier dodgy blue pic:

Blue gen2, Blue gen1, Azure, Royal Blue

Royal Blue looks like Surf Blue in this picture.

Thanks! These yellow pics are authoritative photo guides! I endorse their accuracy! :)
as for the blues.. let’s double check that royal/surf conundrum. I can’t check Surf Myself as I still don’t have one, but Royal Blue has distinctive darker lugs, and is a darker shade overall.

I love pollen but this photo is pretty convincing that canary is indeed a wonderful yellow. I also think that last blue looks a bit bright compared to other photos I’ve seen of royal blue.

Alright, so, in reference to the 2017 Chinese New Year woven nylon, I don’t know what it is or where it came from... nothing shows up for it online. Doesn’t seem like it was ever made for sale in the US. Maybe for one of their one day sales in China, but I can’t find anything on it in China either, so I’m not sure? Maybe another unreleased band made available to employees in China? Really would love some help understanding where this thing came from.

Looks like @nicho posted about it over 2 years ago and started a small discussion on it there, where I could grab a little more info..
Anyone recognise this band? I guess it's an exclusive of some kind not released to the public (because it isn't on this list) but I can't for the life of me find anything about it. Fairly sure I remember seeing a story about it along with pictures but... can't find it now so not 100% sure.

A few people were thinking it’s a fake, but I can confirm it’s definitely legitimate.

My Hyper Grape loop that I ordered on Friday amazingly arrived today! I know no reference photos are needed for this strap but I’m excited so adding two - the first inside and the second outside. I find the iridescence of the reflective threads mesmerizing, and very pretty.

Other impressions as a first time loop wearer: I’ve heard others say that wearing sport loops are more comfy than any other bands and that you forget you’re wearing it - I find it comfy enough (and really like how you can fit it to the exact size of your wrist) but I don’t necessarily find it more comfy than my sport band. I do like how it didn’t get sweaty when I was in the garden this morning. In terms of fit, I like the fit of the sport band better - the bulge where the loop folds back on itself bothers me a little. All in all I’m happy that I got it but not sure how often I will buy loops unless it’s in a colorway I absolutely love.

Pretty cool. I find woven nylons to be more comfortable- hence why I’ve gone from having 3 of them to about 25 in less than 4 months...

I would say that it tends toward the green side. The lighter colour is a pale blue. The one here I have compared it to is a Dark Teal sport band, which if you know anything about ornithology a Teals head is green not blue. You pays your money and takes a chance.

It’s sort of like cactus, it changes colors depending on lighting. Wonder how it’d look under a black light though 👀

Wow! I didn’t even know there were 25 varieties! For some reason I thought that was a band they only did for a couple of seasons. I will have to find one to try, not that I need another style of band to be addicted to 🙃

I recently tried a sport loop for the first time and like you, definitely prefer my regular sport bands and Nike sport bands. My hubby bought me a sunshine loop for my bday in March but I only wore it twice. Just sorry he wasted $50! Guess I had to try to know.

Where did he buy it? If he bought it at Apple.com you have 14 days from the time they reopen your local store to return it. Not the normal 14 days from the time you bought it.

I have a few that I bought from the last batch, right after the shutdowns I want to return. So I called the 800 number and I had phone rep send me an email that I could return it 14 days after they reopened the local stores.

Plus it is also on Apple.com. See attachment

I think it’s nice to have one, esp since it’s reflective so if I take the dog for walks at night there is that extra level of safety. I love the colours of the sunshine sport loop - maybe it will grow on you? Or you can dedicate it to times when you’re going to get sweaty/hot? Mine performed well today when I was working outside. The sport band would have felt sticky.

He bought it from Best Buy online. I checked and my return window has closed. Thx though!

Yeah, I guess it will just stay in the drawer and I’ll see if I want to try again sometime. At least it helped answer my question as to whether I’m a loop kinda gal......but I’m not. LOL!

The bulge will flatten out after 1-2 weeks of use and becomes much less noticeable. I also found the asymmetry of the sport loop off-putting at first, but definitely came to like the band more once mine flattened. I don't find it any more comfortable than the sport band in regular indoor use. But, when outside in hot weather or exercising, the loop breathes better than even my Nike sport band. That and the infinite adjustability of the sport loop have made it my new favorite for casual use.
