Is anyone close to a store that is still carrying stock of a 40mm Lemon Cream? I'm trying to pick up up before they are completely gone and my local store is out of it.

UPDATE: I was able to find someone who picked up what I needed from the Pleasanton Store

THANK YOU ALL WHO OFFERED TO HELP

i can check it in my Apple Store nearby. But it is in Germany.
thank you, I'll keep it in mind. I really love your willingness to help, and not just me. :)

let me see if I can get it locally, it's a bit more cost effective if I can with the price difference and shipping from Germany, But! sometimes that's the only option!

i have a feeling that apple is making more money on the accessories of the product than the actual product, granted the average person doesnt want to shell out 50+ for a new band let alone over 5 grand for all of the bands. i personally dont think that apple would just come out with a new connector and alienate the loyal customers that have bought so many bands that they wouldnt come up with a solution of some kind such as an adapter so we can all continue to use the bands we already have. but what do i know.

Supposedly, micro center has them. In-store only, not sure if there is one in your state. None here in Florida...

I saw that they had them for in store pick up but I don't live close to one unfortunately. And if I order them with Apple, I can have someone else pick them up with their name and they would ship to me. I've had some help me before that way, it's just a matter of luck finding someone who is close and is going that way soon.

I live close to about 6 stores but none of them have reopened yet. Otherwise, I would be more than happy to try helping you. Once they finally open, I can check for you.

You’ve not identified anything wrong with the current one. Nothing. That’s because you can’t. Because there is nothing wrong with it. Nobody at Apple wants to change it for the sake of changing it.

I'm not saying there is something wrong with the mechanism and therefore it should be changed. Rather, I'm saying there is a likely chance Apple will tweak the mechanism (either an improvement or otherwise) which will remove backwards compatibility for the bands. They might also keep the underlying mechanism but with some design changes à la MagSafe 1 vs MagSafe 2 thus making older bands incompatible with the newer watches.

Do I expect my bands to lose compatibility with newer watches? Yes. Will that stop me from collecting bands? No. But I won't hold my breath expecting Apple to maintain band compatibility with future watches. Because as MacDevil has so gracefully pointed out, "Apple has never had a hard time removing a legacy port/connector when it becomes a design limitation." With every band I buy I take the risk of it not being compatible with the next generation Apple Watch.

One of the stores around I live is showing stock of that band.. It’s around 45 minutes from here..

If they do tweak the connector I'm pretty sure they would introduce an adapter or some sort if it were feasible. Apple has often introduced adapters when they switch to a new tech or design e.g MagSafe 2 adapter, 30-pin to lightning, usb-c to hdmi/display port/usb-A, etc

that's quite the trip.... so I would only ask you if you could pick one up if you were going that way already. I would have your name as the pick up person and I would pay the shipping cost of course. so no obligation

I actually just started putting different locations in the search and found one about 35 miles away from me. I did an instore pickup. So I guess I know what I will be doing tomorrow.
