I'm looking at these posts, (very nice set ups), and wondering, whats the point of having multiple computers in the same area? If they were in separate areas, then other people could use them... anyway, just my .02

Oh and my Setup Consists of-
Compaq 15" CRT, TCO '99 Edition,
Dell Dimension 4400 w/ 1.6 Ghz Processor,
20 Gig HDD *250 Gig External
768 RAM
Hp Printer
2 speakers, a Woofer,
Kodak dock, ipod dock,
Ipod nano, 1 gig 1st generation
ipod touch, 8 gig

And a big pile of envy... lol

Woah

Some very nice setups. I'm 14 and this is my first and only iMac, but I'm hoping for a MacBook sometime before the end of 2009

Specs:
24", 2.8 Ghz core 2 duo, 2gb of ram, 1TB of data storage, 500gb internal, 500gb external. Oh, and yes, my desk is always this tidy. Usually I'm using Photoshop CS3, safari with around 25 tabs open, mail, itunes, handbrake ripping, adium and Pages. I use a six space desktop :)

Dude, do you have a job or did your parents buy you that? I wish I could afford that now but no job=very limited resources. :(

Well, the printer was free on rebate, the iPod Touch I saved up for myself, the router was free with a laptop I bought a while ago and my Dad paid for the iMac.

I didn't even notice the notebook. Your dad must really love you... :)

Yeah, the notebook isn't there. I got it about 2 years ago, it's only a slow fujitsu thing that was cheap, just so me and my Mum weren't arguing over who was on the PC, lol. :)

Here's my setup. Going to be 19 in August, anyways I payed for everything there except for my PC, that was a grad gift from my parents:

- Playstation 3 (10 games and 26 Blu-ray movies).
- Samsung LN-T2342H.
- 16GB iPod touch.
- Custom built computer (built it myself).
- Logitech speakers.

Going to be getting my first Mac next month which will be a MacBook for College.

I like it. The desk area is nice and clean, the only thing I'd say to change would be the placement of the printer. What make is that? I have an Epson (also black, gotta have matching colours lol) and I have it on the other side of my room on my dresser with a 10ft USB extention cable.

Well I agree with the placement of the printer. It is an HP F4140 and I replaced it because the previous free one that you get from the Apple Store is white and I prefer black electronics.

Also, I am in a small dorm room and space is limited. I am trying to think of a way to put it somewhere else but that's really the only place it can go. If the sterile dresser type thing that it is sitting on was bigger, it wouldn't look so weird in pictures but you really could not tell if you were in my room, it's just the angle of the camera.

Ahhh I see, having limited space does suck. However it seems like you've done a good job using the space you've got.

Thanks A LOT...I appreciate it.

I've seen a great deal of people with lots of white electronics and I really liked the difference with your black. Reminded me of myself and it really POPPED out.

Do you have a black TV as well?

That Samsung is my TV. It's an LCD TV which I use for my computer as well. Have my PS3 hooked up via component cables and set at 720p. TV upscales to 1080i. It's a good TV and I got it on sale.

Yeah, I kinda figured that AFTER I posted that comment. I also really was not sure because I have seen some Samsung's that act as monitors ONLY and no TV output.

Really? Never knew that. I like black as a colour for electronics but my MacBook is going to be White, I'm not going to spend like $200CDN more just for the Black one.

I got it about 2 years ago, it all shuts up so the clutter is hidden, I'll have a look in the garage for the box and find the item number for it, I think it was from IKEA? I'll do some searching around :)

120GB HDD is good enough for me since this is just going to be for College. I'll be buying 2GB of ram after to save money. Apple charges an arm and a leg for ram lol.
