That really does say a lot about how software makes a system attractive or unattractive to use.

How much did you pay for the G5 and when did you get it? I have been looking at Mac Pros and G5s. I want something that can play WoW with decent graphics settings. -_- The Macbook ain't cutting it anymore.

350 euros, 2 years ago which was a great deal back then. but nowadays it can be obtained much cheaper. It is the 1.8Ghz SP.
You should definitely avoid powerpc if you want more power. At the moment it is more than enough for my needs, sometimes when I want to glue 15 pictures in to a panorama (using PSCS4), things can get a bit slow. I
The stand in that picture is the Griffin Elevator, it costs around $40 and can be purchased at many computer stores (I purchased mine at the local Apple Store). I am new to MacRumors:Forums and just got a chance to take a picture of my setup. The setups in this thread are outstandingly diverse. Some of the setups in this thread inspired me to make my own setup. Thanks for posting your setups; keep them going! Anyways, without further a do, here is my current setup...
hurray for 26" tv being my external monitor!
Don't you feel a little cramped in there? I feel all claustrophobic just looking at it.
dell mini 9 with leopard. it's the netbook with the best leopard compatibility iirc
That, or the MSI Wind. But I think your Wi-Fi works right through Airport doesn't it? That and your headphone jacks work IIRC.
I play with legos too! They are all in my closet. You can never get too old for legos.
Resident OSX86 guy here. On the Mini 9/Vostro a90 it works out of the box, native support by Apple, on the MSI Wind (U100, not sure about U123)it has to be replaced, unless they recently came out with a driver for itthere has been a driver made for it, but I would go with a native supported card. Pretty much everything works right after install, most you have to do is install kexts in "SLE" and run DellEFI, and then you've got a fully working, apple-update-able MacBook Mini/Nano.
I use a Wind. The utility to connect to WiFi is, thought ugly, a bit more helpful that Airport some times (though I'd never choose to use it if I didn't have to) and is easy to hide out of the way when you don't want it. Updating is not a big deal for me. All non-system updates work fine under Windosx86, and when it comes to updates like 10.5.8 and the like, it's not that difficult. For me, it was a choice of physical preference and a history of absolutely terrible Dell computers that led me to the Wind. As for the few shortcomings, they have been (thus far) easy to get around. No complaints.
