Nice setup! But why speakers underneath the desk? Doesn't it make the sound all muddy and awful when your head is above the desk (which I'm hoping is where it is when you're using your computer)?

yes, my head is most certainly above my desk :)

as for the sound, i wanted my desktop as simpe as possible, so i put the speakers on the ground, and while i did lose some sound quality, it wasnt enough to make me want them back on top. they work well for me, so i am happy with them where they are :)

got stolen straight off the wall, but they left everything else......
jks. its in the loungeroom :p its normally connected to the display, but we got a new home theatre setup in the lounge so i moved it there :)

thanks for the compliment :)

cheers,
Ryan

Haha ah right, nothing beats a home cinema tbh ;)

I've got the same speakers as you, but they're connected to my PS3 and 360 instead of my mac :) Pretty darn good, especially for games but I don't really use them too much with music really :/

My Setup before the Mac comes.

I bought an eMac on ebay the other day and its on its way, but I thought it would be cool to take a before and after shot of my setup with and without it.
Right now I just have a Gateway GT5622. Pentium DualCore @ 1.8Ghz, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, and it is running Vista Home Premium.

I had to really think about where to put the eMac, its just soo big! I hope it fits on the left side of the desk, in the empty spot.

First Pic. I was just trying out some weird angles. Not soo good.

Second Pic. My favorite. :D The lighting is awesome.

Third Pic. This just shows you my whole desk. The dark, empty area on the left of the desk is where the eMac will go.

My setup.

Ok so for awhile now on Mac rumors i lied about my identity so now I'm coming clean because I'm proud.

So I'm 13 and this is my setup. I use it to video edit in final cut express + Motion + Color + AE. Some of my work is on http://www.youtube.com/geekofcomedy My latest one was testing chroma key. I need a studio light TBH if you watch it. Also I fix computers all the time in school and there was this retarded time when the computer screen had a blue hue on it and while everyone thought it was a virus because a class mate downloaded a screensaver. I went into task manager like an idiot. Googled all the processes and I hit my leg off the Dell box and it went. The fricken cable was loose! But other times it would involve: Word, Fixing the audio etc.

Sorry about Pictures. I took them at 2:25am so the lightning isn't the best.

Ok, so No macs yet, but Im getting a 13" MBP for college soon...

Laptop: Dell Insipron e1505 (specs in sig)
Middle Monitor: random Dell 15" model - Connected to server underneath the desk
Right Monitor (CRT): Some random CRT only supporting 640x480, looks good when watching anime though...
Server (Not shown): Dell Dimension 3000 (3GHz P4, 512Mb Ram, 80GB IDE HDD, Debian Lenny)

I took this while cleaning my room, so the crap on my desk is my Networking books, some printer paper, some chips (in the bag on left), a plate, my Creative Zen :D and a figure (rep to who guesses which one it is...)

I have never owned a Mac before but that has now changed. I bought my eMac on ebay for only $77, and I already love it.

The eMac's specs are:
800Mhz G4
512MB RAM (Maxing out soon)
40GB HDD
OS X 10.4.11

It is just awesome. :apple:

Sorry for the picture quality and bad lighting. The flash doesn't look very good reflecting off all my equipment. But here goes:

13" 2.4ghz MacBook Unibody
Griffin Elevator Stand
22" AOC LCD Monitor
Xbox 360 Pro Console
22" Vizio 1080p LCD TV w/ High Def Cable
Logitech Z-4 Speakers (split audio feed from computer and xbox)
Apple Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard
Microsoft 5000 Bluetooth Mouse

I'm 18 and quite satisfied with my setup.

Too bad your Mac will be obsolete when Snow Leopard will be released which requires Intel chip only.
But hey, at 77 bucks, it's not a waste at all.

where in his post does it say anything about wanting snow leopard? not every computer needs an os upgrade for it to still turn on, function, and complete normal computing needs.

I've just turned 14 on the 23rd. Here's my 2.26Ghz 13" MBP. I love it so far. I can't tell the same thing about the iPod, though...

Wow, nice setup. Those montiors/speakers look like they could kick you back a couple yards if you turned them up. :p

And here is her room:eek:

Yeah, we are all Mac'd out, with 6 Macs, 4 active iPhones, TV, and all our wireless gear = 

*UPDATE*

She had a real movie producer over and he was so impressed with her work, he invited her to his production company! I cant wait to see what the future holds for her.

I am so jealous of most of you...

I have my ageing Toshiba Portege M200 (1.7GHz Pentium M, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, nVidia 5200M 32MB), a slot loading blue iMac (600MHz, 300-something MB RAM, CD-RW), about 3 x86 boxes that no longer work and heaps of extremely outdated PC parts (think 486 CPUs, S3 gfx cards, mobos without USB, an old "clicky" keyboard, 5 inch floppy drives, 500MB HDDs etc.).
Although I have a heap of phones, including a HTC Magician, a HTC Hermes and an LG TU500 that I extremely regrettably paid $225 for..

Oh and I also have a 16GB 2G iPod Touch :)

I want a white MacBook, I love the little white G4 iBooks but they don't have enough power.

I'm 16, I wish I was a Mac.
