My desk here at home. I'll be 16 next month. 13" 2009 MBP, the left monitor is hooked up to my Mac Mini (soon to be sold), and the right to my PC (which is what the cheap generic keyboard is for).

Heh, my dry-erase board still has my Apple order scribbled on it.

Here's mine.
Just bought a refurbished Unibody MacBook Pro 2.4 to add to the iMac (the iMac is the family's, but it's in my room).
Also seen here is a 1TB Time Capsule and an HP C7200 printer (and a wired MM and keyboard)

What is the point of having NAS if you keep it on the same desk as the computer?

By NAS do you mean the Time Capsule?

If so, it gives internet and backup to 2 iMacs, 2 Unibody MacBook Pros, and a white MacBook in our house, plus 2 iPhone 3G's as well. It was just the convenient place to put it (the aluminium iMac pictured is the family computer, the others are our individual ones) because it's where all the wires and stuff were already as the main computer has always been in this room (since we got our first computer...ah the memories).

Is this what you were asking?

This image is quoted for a reason.

The lighting on this picture, where is it coming from? Looks like just a spotlight. :)

That is the best set up ive ever seen!

Did you connect the MacBook to the Asus monitor?

What cables do you have running behind the walls?

Well done.

Cheers!

wowzaa, thats a big compliment :)

yerp, the asus is connected to my mbp with the mini display -> dvi adaptor.
the cables are running through the wall, from behind the monitor down to an exit hole behind the desk, then they run along clips on the back of the desk so as not to drop into sight :) . all cables connected to the macbook pro are also running along the back of the desk to a powerboard which is hidden beside the sub. speaker cables are under the carpet.
i can get a photo of the back of the desk if you want ?

cheers guys :)

this shot is the sound control pod, which i have fixed to the underside of the desk with strong double sided tape.

I love your setup. So simple and clean. One question if you don't mind, how do you like your speakers? I've been looking around for one with a control pad.

thanks for the compliment mate :)

i like the speakers, sound is pretty good, they are THX certified and the control pod is simple. the bass is controllable so you can adjust that to your taste. they are pretty loud when you want them to be :)

i got a 2.1 setup because they are mainly used for music, so i had no real need for a 5.1 setup in my room, thats what our lounge room is for :)

but yer, i am really happy with my choice in speakers :)

Nice setup! But why speakers underneath the desk? Doesn't it make the sound all muddy and awful when your head is above the desk (which I'm hoping is where it is when you're using your computer)?
