Whoa buddy, do you collect iPods? Pretty cool stash you have there.

I used to. Well, that is to say I tried very hard at the beginning of this past school year. However, funds and availability sort of got in the way.

I did end up having purchased more for actual use than for collection purposes though:
iPhone 3GS - 32 GB, Black
iPod Touch - Gen. 2, 8 GB
iPod Touch - Gen. 2, 16 GB
iPod Classic - Gen. 6, 80 GB (Broken), Black
iPod Touch - Gen. 2, 32 GB
iPod Video - Gen. 5, 60 GB, White
iPod Nano - Gen. 6, 16 GB, Red
iPod Mini - Gen. 2, 4 GB, Silver

And that is over the course of 5 years, with more than one actual user in mind (4-5, total), so maybe it isn't a huge amount, maybe for some it is. I was always just a fanboy I suppose, used to have to have the newest thing out there.

The others were just Kijiji purchases. I had planned to make a large, shelved shadow box and collect one of each of the iPod generations, but money got tight and I really lost interest when I couldn't find much out there. I believe I got both the Lavender Shuffle Gen. 2 and the Black Nano Gen. 3 for free from friends who had upgraded (the Nano has a terrible battery, so he didn't see the point in trying to make a buck), the 1st Gen. Shuffle from a friend of my sister's for $20, the Silver Nano Gen. 3 for $40 and the Shuffle Gen. 3 for $75 only a week after it's initial release. I really wanted to collect the actual classic models, but my silly mind strayed to stranger things. I think I actually used the Shuffle Gen. 3 for a while, but the headphones broke, so that's useless now too.

I had thought of selling them, but between the probability that nobody would want to pay for them and the difficulty of letting them go, I never did go through with that.

My Set up. I'm 15 next month.

2008 iMac 2.4GHz 20"; 32GB 2G iPod Touch. :)

How do you folks [under 18] even get your desks so neat? I remember when I was in HS my desk was unusable because it was so messy (and it still is).

Nice the left speaker is about to fall off or something. Looks nice under the desk. :p
Hey, balancing is an art. :pJust as I read that I tested weather it was right at the tipping point or not. I caught the speaker, but the CD-Rs weren't so lucky....
Oh and thanks for noticing my sock stash.:p

At least its your own money

I like how at least you bought it with your own money, even if I think you're going a little overboard on the stuff. I posted in the new past and present forum, but I haven't taken a picture with my new (old 2005 PowerShot 550) camera and with no powerbrick on the desk. So I'm going to take another pic and post it here! (16 here) :D

I love your setup!!! It's nice and simple. I love the alu ACD and the mac mini I love it all.

I also need to add todays very latest addition to my setup, I am now the proud owner of a 16GB WiFi & 3G iPad, which maybe moves the number of Macs, and certainly increases the number of OS X based devices up by 1... - One day it will be neat and cool, however that date is yet to be reached by my reckoning xD
