I go to college, just finished my first year as a Computer Engineering undergrad and taking summer classes to graduate early. The Mac Pro half of my setup stays at home (my Dad uses it for his work sometimes). The only thing I have with me in college is the Samsung 24", MBP, iPhone 4 and iPad. I wish I had everything in one shot.

I mainly use it for programming, video editing, graphic design and web design. It's upgraded to 8GB of RAM. I have VMware Fusion on there running Linux and Windows VMs for programming purposes. I also have Adobe CS6 Web Premium (got it from uni) as well as FCP X on there. It's a beast that handles everything I throw at it.

How my setup came to be: I've been working at the same job for three and a half years. Also I was expecting to go to an expensive college so I applied for a couple dozen small scholarships online and won a few (and then decided to go to a much cheaper state school). So I decided to treat myself a bit.

You should totally upgrade that stock cooler. You'd get much better performance.

I actually bought one a week or so ago but I haven't gotten around to installing it yet. Things have been super crazy getting ready for college and working

Pictures tomorrow... but for now,

MacBook late 2008 Aluminum
-2.0GHz
-160GB drive for Mountain Lion
-64GB SSD for windows 7
-4GB RAM
-Microsoft Sidewinder Mouse and X4 keyboard

ASUS Eee PC 1005PEB
-Intel Atom (around 1.6GHz)
-No HDD at the moment, I'm broke and so is the hard drive.
-1GB RAM

HP TouchPad
-Dual booting Android 4.0 and WebOS
-The best tablet you can get for $150. Amazing deal. Hack it to run Android and its comparable to an iPad 2 speed wise. A little DIY goes a long way.

Samsung Galaxy Note i717
-Running Android 4.1
-Another awesome device, fastest phone I've ever owned and when you add Cyanogen Mod 10 its even better.

The rest is just random mice and things. I use my MacBook for everything, but I do need to upgrade soon. I'll probably build a new PC in early 2013.

Oh, and I'm 16

Terrible quality, sorry about that.

MacBook Pro, Studio Display, Mac Pro Keyboard and Mouse, and SoundSticks.

Yes, there is a messy bulletin board behind. Ignore it...

Most of the stuff are hand-me-downs (which I'm perfectly content with!) with the exception of the MacBook Pro.

I'm a 15 year old student.

Everything about it just seem wrong to me. The Apple logo, the bezel, the transparent structure... It looks more like a picture frame, in my opinion. :)

I'm sure everyone thought it was avant-garde when it came out.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Studio Displays even a tiny little bit?

I still would't mind having one of those display for everyday use.

But answering to your previous statements, It actually matched quite perfectly the industrial design trend that Apple was having back in 2000 for every product in their product line.

The first Apple milestones in the new 00' era marked by the return of Steve Jobs such as the original iMac, the clamshell iBook, the powerMac G4 and cube, all featured this iconic design (the first one distinctly created by Jonathan Ive) characterized by rounded corners, glossy aspect, and shiny plastic transparent enclosures.

And it was actually especially made for giving these products a new and revolutionary design, to distinguish from the mass.
So at the time they actually looked beautiful just as the current Apple design of brushed aluminum and black glass contemporary looks to us. and to me they're still quite appealing nowadays!

Could you attach some sort of instruction on how to go about building a similar iphone lego dock with charger built to it?

sorry it took so long to come back to you but if you still want to know i would recommend just google in images and just look around and just make your own version with what ever blocks you own.
