Back in the day, my school had iMac G3's and PowerMac G4's (before i got there). There were also those mobile iBook labs.

Now we have a plethora of HP desktops- most are 2.5ghz P4's with 17" CRT's set at the wrong refresh rate which I am very sensitive to. Some teachers have decent HP laptops. The principal and vice principals have tablet PC's. People in the office have either 19" LCD's or 19" widescreen LCDs.

With my school, it depends. Most of the computers are the ones built by the computer classes and then are set up for teachers. However, my drafting class just got new Dell Optiplex 745's with Pentium D processors, 2GB RAM, and 17" Ultrasharp displays. However, the graphics classes have a mix of new MacPro's along with PowerMac G5's and a couple of G4's. However, now that I have my iBook I'll just be using it during class instead of those new Dell's! :)

Here's mine. That is obviously the MacBook Pro in my siggy, so I won't bother going through that. Got a wireless mightmouse, and 260GB external hard drive. Then, if you look to the left, I have my software shelves, which have games and other things to help me waste my time. I've had that mousepad for years, and don't ask what the envelope is, because I have no idea.

Yes, I know, my room is a mess. I get a kick out of the $20 bill stinking out from under the Final Fantasy VII box (don't ask me for that money, I spent it already :D )

My school just got a load of Dells and guess what...... all the computers in the school are running vista:mad:

Count yourself lucky... at least you have something remotely recent.:p

We've got WinNT and P4s at our school. Half the computers now get a blue screen every week at least once, and the ones that don't have no mouse balls because some idiots get a kick out of taking them out and throwing them at each other. There's no such thing as an LCD monitor at this school!

That's exactly how it was at my old high school. But now I'm in college, and all the computer labs have Core Duo iMacs. Score.

I don't have an amp right now but I'm getting one soon. I have some Sony speakers hooked up in there. Those silver ones. It actually all sounds really good.

And the reason the sub is like that is cause my friend made it put in his car.

Updated setup pics! The flash makes em' look a little weird, but you get the gist of it:

To add to my setup i just bought a new subwoofer its a deal 10" dual bandpass. :D I can take new pictures if anyone is interested.:D

I've only just switched a moth ago and have 1 pic which I took with a crappy camera...will get some decent photos soon though. Its very messy at my desk in the pic as I had basically unlugged my old XP thing and shoved it to the side...no time for cleaning when you hhave a 24" iMac in front of you :D

Spec:
24" Intel iMac
2.16Ghz Intel Core2 Duo processor
1GB RAM (Was going to up it to 2GB but so far I've not needed to....have had Photoshop, Dreamweaver, iMovieHD and Firefox open all together plus iTunes with no slow down at all!)
250GB HDD
8x DL Superdrive (and super it is!!)
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics (128MB)

Operating Temperature averages at 25c (which is bloody great IMO!) even after running videos, rendering, etc

I'm after a USB soundcard though as I have a sexy 5.1 sterio system and cant use it at the moment :(

Piccy attached :)

As you can probably see in the top of the photo, its an 18th birthday pressy!

Haha yeah I used to be a DJ and for some reason I just can't sell these things, they're built to be very loud but the quality is excellent as well.

Yay for horns at short distance listening (never really works  ).

I wish I could have my studio monitors in my room (the big ones), but they wouldn't physically fit anywhere because of the height of my ceiling.

Hi, I'm 16 and I'm obsessed with technology. I've owned and then sold 4 PC laptops and now I'm on my 2nd Macbook (a Pro). I also have a homebuilt desktop that I've upgraded once. Specs on everything below:
