If any one cares

15...here be my setup...and yes, I paid for it...this is my collection (or it might as well be...)

14"iBook 1.42/768/SD/60GB

Compaq EZ 2100, 660MHz/CD-RW/256/XP pro/20GB/ Small Form Factor
Panasonic ToughBook CF-T2 12.1"/1.1Ghz/No Disk/2.7Lbs/Touch Screen/256 ram

iPhone 8GB
Moto Razr Maxx, which I will be selling soon 'cause of the iPhone...
2xLCD projectors (one I got free and repaired, the other cost me $50)
HP de100c Digital music center
Bose speakers

Those of you wondering how I get this stuff, I work for myself doing computer repair and building PCs for people. I also get great deals...for example my MBP cost me $1500 back when it was the current revision, just because I got it on refresh! Most of my iPods I got broken and fixed them except for the nano that cost me $40 on clearance when the new (current) Nanos came out. I don't like my PCs much, but I try to get nice ones to make up for M$ windows.

I really can't get a good pic 'cause I need to buy a new light for my room, being my old one just totally died. I'm thinking of track lighting...

I love the keyboard and mouse, no lag at all. Replacing the batteries every couple months gets a little annoying, but its totally worth it.

I am rather perplexed as to how these younger kids can afford this kind of hardware. I am 17 and am going to college in like a month. I have been working since I was 15 pretty solid all during the school year and during summer. I did system repair on the side and I charged well for it. I work now at company that does data hosting where I get paid 10 bucks an hour. And even through this, after all the saving, I am still scraping cash together to get a macbook.

There is something that you are leaving out. Do you not have a car? If you do, do you pay insurance? What do you have to pay for?

Amen. I'm 19, going into my second year of college, and I have a Macbook. Seriously, why would anybody need more?

at my house, i have a G5 iMac 2GHz w/ 1.5 G ram - belongs to the family

upstairs i got a G4 "dome" imac with 800MHz processor and 756 mhz ram - belongs to the family as well

my computer is a 2 GHz C2D "BlackBook" with 2G ram

I seem to get by without a problem with my 1.5Ghz 12" PowerBook SuperDrive. I've had it for 2.5 years and it works great for everything for internet to video editing, photoshop, and inDesign. Looking back I can't believe that I spent over $1800 on it compared to the offerings of the current MB. But at the time the iBooks were not what I wanted.

Why you need more than at the most 2 computers is really beyond me. I understand if you get a new one every few years because technology improves, but having multiples of basically the same computer or same speed computer is excessive, a waste of money, and pointless IMHO. I could think of a thousand better things to spend my money on.

And honestly why would I or anyone believe motorazr has all of that stuff. First, what does "or it might as well be" mean. Second you can't take a picture because there isn't a light in your room- i believe that in the 21st century most camera's have things called "flashes". Although these devices do not replicate natural light they help. I can't stand people like this... If you are going to go around being a little liar, go do it elsewhere. I'll believe you when I see pictures, but I highly doubt that will even occur.

Anyways, Glenn Wolsey, beautiful setup, I really like your lights. To dannyallen34 You have a nice one as well, nice iPhone there :).

My sentiments exactly.
