LOve the setup man. The desk itself is a beaut.

What is that think on the linksys router? Is that some type of reception extender or something?

Umm, not to be a prick or anything, but isn't this a Mac fan site?

Also, can you resize the image or put it as a link, it'd suck for people on dial up or a low broadband.

Ah, right, there's some sort of backstory :D

I am also a switcher, but my Windows laptop is way too ugly to get a picture taken of it!

Oh, and Calihafan you have the same colour walls as me! And potentially the same iMac! (Rev B 17" 1.8?)

I would take a picture of my setup, but I keep changing it daily because I can't decide where to put it...with an iMac G5 it's easy to change your mind.
I have a...
-iMac G5, 2 GHz w/ Superdrive, 250 GB HardDrive, 1 GB RAM
-Wireless (bluetooth) Apple Keyboard and Mouse
-HP Wireless Injet Printer
-Some old Cannon Scanner
-Sony 5 MP Digital Camera

I paid for the iMac, Printer, & Camera mostly by myself, the scanner was a gift.

My brother is home with his 17" HP Pavilion... i'll try and take a photo later and post it :D tis rather huge compaired to me iBook

Argh, ive got that printer. Its been given me nothing but crap. Its always at off ink, you replace an ink cartridge and within a week another ink cartridge it out. Enjoy ;)

If its not to late i would consider another printer, sorry to sound rude during your new purchase, but it aint a good printer unless you like to buy ink all the time. Apart from that the quality if the print is excellent.

Well, I really win the prize of the most messy room... Note that my phone line is on the opposite side of the room, so I have put the modem on top of my CD's at the opposite side of the room that is my computer, close to the phone line, as you can see in picture 1. To connnect the modem to my computer, I use an Ethernet cable which i have passed UNDER the carpet!

I have a good view though. I have closed the windows so that I could take the pictures. All the CD's you see are only the half of what I have. The other ones are stored in my closet. I hadn't anywhere else to put them. Everyone that comes into my room thinks he/she is in a science fiction movie, or in Neo's Room...

And this is the iMac G4 that we have in our living room (this is intented for the rest of the family-the G5 is in my room and it is intented for my personal use :) :) )

Indeed. It is one of the few rooms I have seen that its untidiness is so well-organized! I have never lost anything in there. I just love my room and I don't leave anyone clean it up because there is a chance that something might get lost.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the iPod you see in the first picture is connected with the sound system that is above it through line out.

no. In order to recharge it, I have connnected it to a simple socket, as I have done with the modem and my sound system. In order to Update my iPod, I have another firewire cable which my brother uses for his own iPod (yes, we have 2). So, it's allright.

It's not that I haven't tried to connect the iPod to my computer though... But the cable is too short to go under the carpet. :) :)

The best part of all is... That I was working an entire year to get all those things... But I think it was worth it!

Yes, thank you. I do have this laptop but I don't even use it that much (mostly for traveling). Besides, I think this is one of the few decent looking PC laptops.

2nd post...any opinions on my setup?

I like it... I never thought of using my iBooks display as the main and my NEC as the Secondary... I always have had it the other way around. :) O... and proping your iBook up with CDs... hmmm... can I recomend an iCurve?

well i always tend to use the larger screen as secondary cos you can see it from a further distance. Ah well...maybe the icurve, if i can bother to go and get one. Who knows? Maybe a cheaper version of the icurve would be released next week? :)

ehh... probably not they got it so perfect the first time... they were realease back in the day of Titanium PBs and Studio Displays... the iCurve was designed to go with the studios.... hmmm... maybe theres an aluminum iCurve on the way :D

Hey ram nut,

Nice setup, though an iCurve for 450 HKD would fare well in your situation. May I recommend you get a 20" Cinema Display instead of a 19" which can only display a res of 1280x 1024? Good luck and hope you make a wise choice in the end

Dearest Overclocker,

If you don't mind, i can sell you a 3rd hand icurve for 440 dollars + shipping fees.

However, I sincerely recommend you to save up the money to get more ram for you ibook.

With Respect, Shadows.
