On The Nickel, over there....
Mail in inbox is GONE!

MM was down for me as well, but it just came back up. Gallery, iDisk, Contacts, and iCal are all fine. My MM inbox is blank. No emails, no folders, nothing. Absolutely gone, vanished!
I am really hoping this is temporary.
Anyone else?

I've got the same as you but it's not showing any of my reminders in Calendar.

MM is down again, with the screenbox saying that this account is inactive. Let us all hope Apple are doing something constructive and that our data returns from the cloud or wherever the hell it resides at.
I am patient, but this is horrible. Something one would expect from MS, but not Apple!

ON EDIT:
Just had iMail ask for my password for about the third time this AM. Something is up....

Mines down too, hope i am reading this wrong but does this *below* mean its intentional and for days? (from TUAW)

But TUAW reader Drew told us: "Just got off the phone with AppleCare and they tell me MobileMe email is going to be down for 2-3 days, and that it's the whole system, not just the 1% as noted on the support site. Those of us that use .me as a work address are hosed. Normally I wouldn't care but I have 2 photoshoots to coordinate Sunday. Is it me, or does this feel like a M$ launch?"

Yup, can't get my mail.

Mail.app keeps asking for my MobileMe password. Even when
I supply it correctly, I get a notice from the software that it has
been rejected.

This is not good! Many of us rely on our mail for business needs
and the fact that MM would go down like this shows that it is not
a dependable tool.

I'm down.

Maybe they are allowing us to use our own domain names, like gmail!

Or maybe they are setting up push for all email accounts!

Or maybe they are pushing notes!

It's probably just bugs...

Earth.
Well, Im glad its not only me !

I use .Mac only for syncing, but as they removed bookmarks, the only other feature I used, I wonder if its worth keeping. My ISP gives me unlimited (effectively) email addresses, and webspace, so I could easily live with out it.

Sigh.

I'm getting the password prompt all the time myself. Think we'll see a fix for today? I use .mac for work, having a none mail day is really anouying.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A347 Safari/525.20)

Any offial word from apple on this? I also have seen issues. IPhone mail.app receives connection errors with mail.me.com.

I am thinking this is only temporary. Mail and folders are gone in MM, but opening the Mail app in the dock shows everything there under .Mac. Also a couple of different icons next to the .Mac account. One is like a watch face, a bit like Time Machine's, and one is the exclamation point in a triangle. And Mail wants my pw again. Lovely...

Remember it's currently night in the USA, so if they have to take stuff offline for maintenance this is a logical time to do it. Sucks for those of us in different time zones, but whatever time they do it it'll affect someone.

Translation of part of the linked page:

"I’ve decided that sometimes service can be so insanely frustrating, so ineptly and dishonestly deployed, and so vehmently denied by a provider that a user has to make a video to try to boost the traffic to their youtube channel by cashing in on something that's in the news".

Okay, this stinks. It would've been nice to get a message from Apple prior to this morning's work that MM would be inaccessible for a while. On the flip side, maybe (just maybe) Apple is onto something and everything will work for everyone after MM comes back online. Gotta keep looking for that silver lining, ya know? :p
