I have to wonder if part of the problem is that no one other than us "hears" our complaints. Right now, Apple is a media "darling." They can do no wrong. I NEVER see any anti-Apple articles. As long as public perception is positive, Apple has no reason to change.

You think they like giving out free months of what is a pay service? They have handled this very well. owning up to the problems they are having during this transition, keeping in contact with clients about what they are trying to do correct things, reimbursing clients and no doubt throwing massive IT efforts toward getting this solved.

As for the Mobile Me and iPhone launch snafus, they have been covered everywhere in the media, including in articles by Pogue and Mossberg.

You sound a lot like Balmer. Your assertions are baseless and misleading.

PS: And it seems like they are working through the night at the server farm. Incoming mail just started coming in for me.

I agree with the above.

This kind of stuff happens.

I mean, I not only have my mail pushed through MobileMe but
I have it forwarded through GMAIL. GMAIL goes down once every
few months.

These services are going to have problems. In this case, for me,
the down time was only overnight. It is working fine now.

yadda, yadda, and Santa Claus is coming to town too!!

Hey, I've been as pro-Apple as anyone, yet not being disciple-ish about it. But lately... I have to wonder. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I've never seen so many negative posts on this board... and they seem to be totally based on factual experience, nothing baseless and misleading about MM not working, e-mail getting shut down, etc, etc, etc....

The service has been exceptional for me in the month and a half that I had had it. Today is the first day it's been down since the two days during the .me conversion.

I'm sure they will have it back up soon.

On The Nickel, over there....
Sorry to hear that!

Still completely off here - has been all day.

Apple was really messing with MM early this AM, I just went to check my mail and it was missing, just like this AM. Well, it's back, and autofill works (at least for me, for now)!
I hope your mail works for you soon. Very frustrating! Good luck!

Working again for me. Still things aren't being marked as read or deleted properly when done through mail.app.

Forwarding from my university account is hardly working. 1 of 5 might come through. Driving me crazy.
