Yep, server keeps rejecting my password, and the webmail is blank.

If they keep this up, my free trial will be lasting until the end of the year at least!

Once again, it's not the (apparent) server failure that's really pi***d me off, it's the lack of communication about it.

Mail.app just asks for my password and cannot connect. Me.com is blank on Mail but calendar/contacts are there. This is kind of annoying as I'm expecting a couple of important emails this morning...

Hopefully this will teach Apple and the fanboys that Apple is a corporation, just like any other corporation. With everything "corporate" entails.

With that said, this is so ridiculous it's not even funny. I hope you guys and gals get your email back.

This is very sad. I'm very disappointed with Apple right now. I've been a loyal Apple/Mac user since the '80's. I've never experienced this before. Are they over their heads??? Have they taken over the MS mantra of put it out now, fix it later... or never, just keep coming out with updates??? Yikes.

My wife needs a new computer. I had her out of her Thinkpad and into a Mac, but she just rolls her eyes now and says, Vaio!

Just to make you all feel better it's the same for me.

To make things worse I have just spent 67 minutes on the phone to apple constantly deleting and re-installing itunes as it developed a bug. I am not out for the day with no email.

The boys at Blackberry must be laughing so hard they don't know what to do.

In all seriousness though, I can't remember Gmail ever being down like this. Did Apple just not budget for enough servers or something? I know people are saying these are just teething problems on a new service (although dot mac was also fairly unreliable on the email front) but will Apple ever be able to deliver what they promised on MobileMe?

I actually found .Mac's mail service quite reliable — perhaps it was offline while I was asleep. :D A lot more reliable than MobileMe has been thus far.
It was the damn slow iDisk that gave me heartburn.

MobileMe really seems to be in a mess right now.

It's an utter shambles. I'm in France and am now completely cut off from my e-mail on iMac, iBook, iPhone and MobileMe. The mail app is going nuts with this ******** "wrong password" message.

This has been, by any standards, a very poor rollout. I trust that Apple will cease to make fun of its competitors failings until it gets its own house in order? Yeah right.

EDIT the censored area referred to the brown stuff that exits from the back end of a male cow.

I think it just went back up (6:20am EST)

All my email from overnight just suddenly appeared in my IN box.

Another "me too" here. I can get to the MobileMe website and view everything except my mail and authentication from the Mail client on my desktop keeps failing. Interestingly I can send mail from the MobileMe website by clicking on a contact in my address book.

I'm curious if anyone on these forums has MobileMe mail working at the moment; the 1% (now 2%) unavailability seems dodgy to me in that no one on any of the Mac forums I've visited admits to having it working.

My mail also went down this morning, now seems to be back - wonder for how long.

Now it seems that galleries are screwed! When trying to upload photos from my iPhone, it says:
Your MobileMe Gallery has no shared albums
Publish an album using iPhoto '08 and select "Adding of photos via email"
...which of course it is set as, and no matter how many times I unset and reset it, it still doesn't work - despite working yesterday.

Also, viewing any of my galleries online produces a blank page with an error message:
An error occurred while processing your request.
Reference #97.249d9bd5.1216717796.56260b5

This does seem to be one mighty big cock up!

On The Nickel, over there....
I did notice when replying to an email, it gets mailed instantly. Before the email would go, but the little spinning cog-thing would stay in the bottom corner spinning, long after the email was sent. That's gone now. I do hope autofill works for me now.
Good luck to all!

Access is back to mail.app on mac, iPhone & me.com. But incoming email is not arriving.

EDIT: Incoming email is severely delayed.
EDIT2: Autofill on me.com still doesn't work for me.

I have to wonder if part of the problem is that no one other than us "hears" our complaints. Right now, Apple is a media "darling." They can do no wrong. I NEVER see any anti-Apple articles. As long as public perception is positive, Apple has no reason to change.
