Facebook 3.0 is here!

It'll be Monday before it gets here. I think any chance of it coming sooner is gone with the blog post Joe wrote. While agree with him 100%, now I wonder if Apple is intentionally holding off.

I really doubt a company like Apple will reduce itself to acting like a child over a blog post
 
I have no divine inspiration, no insider knowledge, no "supposed" release dates...

But I can just feel it in my gut that the update will be released today, towards the end of the day. Somewhere in the 2-6pm range, pacific time. (I assume that's the time zone where the app approvals are done?)

I'm not gonna bet any money on it but i'm just getting excited!! :D

Disclaimer: I also felt like this on Monday and was constantly checking... so take this with a grain of salt... ;)

PS. my smilies aren't working... like the click them on the right. I have to manually type "; )" is anybody else having this problem?

Apps get released throughout the entire day. They don't just hold off and then click a big release button near the end of the day.

I hate to burst any more bubbles here, but if the review process is indeed handled in the order they are received, I submitted an app 2 days before the FB app went in, and I'm still waiting for the approval. :(
 
I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but as of 5 days ago my wall stopped updating and now it just gives me an error message.

I predict FB will come out when your smileys start working again. Soon after that we'll have MMS, when your smileys stop working. That's just my gut feeling though. I had a gut feeling we'd have 3.1 a month ago, so my gut is probably useless for predictions. :)

Anyway, I can't believe this thread has gone on for so long. Over 300 posts for this?

Edit: I take full credit for Facebook coming out today! :)
 
The app approval process makes you wonder whats going on over at apple. You'd think it would behoove them to hurry certain apps through approval. For example, those apps that add value to the user community like facebook... or those apps which bring in tons of revenue (Navigon) should have a higher priority through the clearance line. "Elite access" if you will. Like frequent fliers.

The little developer like me can afford to wait for the 2 weeks.
