Ok so I have not seen a good thread like this in a long time. So what is your favorite smartphone that you have owned?

My number one would have to be the GNex. It was my first true Nexus phone, and loved it the whole time I used it. After that it's the either the iPhone 3G, or my current iPhone 6+. The iPhone 3G design was one of my favorites though I am really love the screen and design of the 6+. Only time will tell if it moves up. So what are your thoughts?

Galaxy Note II from 2012 since it was ahead of its time. iPhone 6+ is the best iPhone so far but it's still not as good as the Note II with 2GB DRAM, precision pen, OLED display and performance like browser scrolling that is much faster than Safari.

My current phone, the OnePlus One. It's my first flagship I've ever bought and it just kicks ass everywhere. It's spoilt me because of the fast ram and everything and I love the smoothness of the os and the experience when reading ebooks. If only OnePlus released a tablet. =D

Motorola StarTac and Motorola RAZR v3. Two of the best phones ever made. The StarTac was based off the original Star Trek communicator.

1. Galaxy S3. I've had it for over 2 years and I plan to keep using it until some time next year. Maybe I'll switch phones in the summer some time.

2. iPhone 5S. I don't technically own it. It's belongs to my work. Touch ID is the coolest feature. Battery life is great compared to the other phones I have used.

3. HTC Desire Z. Landscape slider keyboard is what sold me on this. I never needed auto correct when using a physical keyboard. Keyboard is not quite as good as the Nokia N97.

4. Nokia N97. Best physical keyboard I have ever used. Ovi Maps at the time (2010) had better features than other free mapping apps. It had turn by turn navigation and lane guidance. It has an FM transmitter. I can play my music from it over an FM stereo. Too bad, the rest of the phone sucked very badly. It's the worse phone I have ever used. Very buggy and laggy.

My iPhone 6+, though the HTC One (M7) was probably my favorite Android phone I ever owned. I'm looking forward to picking up a Nexus 6 as well!

I loved my Galaxy S2. Like somebody else has mentioned, it really was ahead of its time. It used to absolutely fly and the screen was excellent.

It never got the send off it deserved. I dropped it in a river in Turkey :(

I totally forgot about the M7. That phone was awesome. Has to be in my top 5.

I am hoping to grab a nexus 6 as well, but I am going to wait until AT&T gets it. Don't really want to pay $650.

1. GNex
2. iPhone 3G/ iPhone 6+
3. HTC One M7
4. iPhone 5s
5. Blackberry Curve 8310

Took the words out of my mouth--my two favorites as well.

I have only had a few but the 4s is my favorite just because of how long I've had it and how well it's served me. I've had it for 3 years. Sure it drives me up a wall now with the reloading, lag and battery life, but it did it's job well and served me well for a very long time.

Generally it would be the latest is the greatest (or favorite) for me. Whatever is my current daily driver becomes #1.

Top 5
1. Xiaomi Mi 3
2. HTC One (M7)
3. Apple iPhone 4
4. Google Nexus One
5. Samsung Focus

There was a time I could make a case Nexus One was my #1 or #2 fav ever. But after some consideration, the iPhone 4 probably regains its position above it because iP4 rarely gave me problems until iOS6 and I had it the longest (3+ years) for any smartphone I owned from launch day (6/24/2010) until Aug of 2013. And iOS4 was far ahead of Gingerbread. But Nexus One and iPhone 2G had my favorite ergonomics although the latter was quite slippery. My first smartphone, Nokia N82, falls out of the Top 5.

If I get something better like Sony Xperia Z3 or Z3C, that probably ends up #1. For now, the Xiaomi rules because it is FAST, CHEAP, and GOOD. And like the saying goes, you generally can have only two of those and not all three. Just yesterday I was so involved in reading Console Wars by Blake J. Harris using Moon+ Reader Pro. I got a PERSONAL record-breaking SOT of 13 hrs and 20 minutes. And this wasn't solely on airplane mode/25% brightness. I did some Wi-Fi, calls, and texting. The hardware has its quirks and so does MIUI. But nothing is really perfect and everything it does for me is done well most of the time. It doesn't have a fatal flaw like M7's camera, overheating, and poorer battery life.

LG enV, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, Galaxy Note II. Liking my Note 4 now! I know you asked for "favorite" but I did like all of these phones in use.

Initially, my favorite smartphones were not something I loved right away except for maybe the iPhone 4 because iOS was quite polished already and each Android update or skin could have its flaws.

With HTC One, I wasn't really sure on battery life and still didn't like losing volume button wakeup after 4.1. With Nexus One, it was originally a third stringer since I hated the lag on Gingerbread. Even with Xiaomi Mi 3, I wasn't sure about MIUI bugs and indoor pix until I got into using HDR mode more. There was a bit of a learning curve for each of them and it took time understanding each of their quirks and how to work around them.

I think I base my favorites strictly on overall performance and a little on battery life since I don't keep phones very long. Some might base their favs on longevity/durability which takes alot more time to get to know. I have a buddy who used a Nokia candybar phone for 7 years. Dropped in the sands of Qatar and still worked like a champ. One of his favs ever for reliability. For me, my favorite gadget of all-time isn't a smartphone. It is actually my Sony PSP from 2005.

My favorite phone is the one I currently own :p

With that said, I do hold the Nexus One, Lumia Icon and iPhone 5c in high regard. I can't say out of those three which would be my favorite because I liked each one for different reasons.

Yeah it's hard to limit it to one. I just thought I would get people talking about older phones they loved.

I just remember how much I love my GNex, and have yet to have that same exact excitement for any other phone. I still wish I had not broken the sim tray. Every once in a while I want to pop in a sim, and play around with it. Still though my iPhone 6+ is a great device that is growing on me each day. The true test is whether it will last beyond a year. If it does then is jumps to #1. Never owned a smartphone longer than a year.

I still think highly of my iphone 3G. Just such a cool phone, especially at the time. I've owned a few other phones that really stand out to me, but in no particular order:
  • Moto X (2013)
  • HTC One M8
  • Xperia Z3 Compact
  • iPhone 4s

Favourite iPhone was the 3GS, it was brilliant.

Favourite Android.... Don't have one yet - had HTC M7, Nexus 5, Samsung S4 & LG G3. None of them have technically been "favourites" just yet. (Only had the HTC very briefly, though).

1. Nexus 4
2. HTC HD2

The nexus isn't perfect, but the only times it gives me an issue is with snapchat and trying to view webms. Luckily the camera issues I had been seeing have been fixed. It was really annoying to have it reboot when trying to take a picture. Now if only there was a software fix for my wonky Vol-Down.... After 2 years, I still love this phone and only think of upgrading as a fleeting thought.

But my HD2 was a fantastic device. I loved being able to dual boot into Android, and having the option to put Windows Phone 7 on it if I wanted to. The FM radio didn't seem to work very well for me, but that was never an issue worth complaining about. Was so upset when it fell and cracked the corner of it's screen.
