Bought six more handguns in the past couple of months.

I have many guns but On Tuesday I just picked up my first "pocket pistol", the S/W Bodyguard .380 Auto and I am pretty damn impressed with this thing and how it shoots.

Despite the badge being a joke at my internship, I will hopefully be able to post in this thread within a year from now.

Thanks. Actually it is a homebuilt. A couple of triglides, some red 1in, 1.8mm thick nylon (not polypro  ) webbing and that silver thing (a special slider) that I took off a 'hi-end' camera strap lol.

The closest thing that can be bought is a Vickers CAS.

My first firearm. A FN Herstal FNS-9. Haven't had a chance to take it out yet, but I'm really excited to have it.

Sorry for the crappy pic. I had taken this to throw into Evernote.

You got the Five seveN up there, I've been looking at them for a while. You get a chance to shoot it yet? How do you like it?

I have had the opportunity to fire one, and I will say the following. It feels kinda like a cheap toy when you first pick it up, but DAMN its a nice firing pistol. Very low recoil, very comfortable to hold and I think it holds like 20 rounds. Very sweet piece. I would consider one if they weren't so expensive.

It is a little expensive, but nothing compared to some of the Wilson Combat pieces.

I have a long term goal of owning a custom piece from Wilson Combat. Maybe when my house is paid off.

The problem isn't so much the cost of the FsN, it's the cost and availability of the ammo. That stuff is fairly rare.

Granted a box of 9mm is cheaper.

If you can find it. We bought what seemed to be the last box of 9mm FMJ in the area last weekend at Walmart. Everyone else is either completely sold out, or only has the expensive stuff, and I don't need JHP for the range.

That's all ammo right now, the walmart near me can't keep .308 rounds on the shelf for the past couple of years and hunting season is coming up. Luckily I have some rounds left over from last year.

I'm quickly finding that out as a gun newb. Fortunately, the local range usually has some ammo, and it isn't grossly overpriced.

Hopefully things change, but there are options for reloading ammo.

You can get the expensive large reloading machines, but they also have small kits that do the same thing if you aren't looking at doing hundreds of rounds at a time.

Coincidentally, I was just talking to my father-in-law last night about that very thing.

Agreed. Dillon and other companies make very nice progressive presses, but I use a simple Lee Hand Press (no room for a turret of any kind, single stage or progressive) to load .45. Eventually I'll use it to load 9mm as well..takes longer than a turret, but I like being able to safety check every round and I don't load up more than 1-200 per go anyhow.

After few hundred rounds during a short early morning workout the other day:

These came home with me today:

ACR Enhanced with Trijicon ACOG

Tavor with Eotech EOLAD

Got a Glock 17. Only have a restricted permit so its locked away at the range in the gun club's vault.

Gonna be packing a P226 in two years when i graduate from the academy. Gonna get a full permit then too. Unfortunately we dont have carry permits over here. So once i'm off the clock, i dont get to carry any guns. Which sucks because i live in a crime ridden ********.
