It's been a while since anyone posted..

Since my last post..

I've gotten my RSO, pistol instructor certification, heading to the state's DOJ in May to get certs to instruct CCW courses, and taught safety courses a handful of times.

I've added a 3.8" XDm 9mm compact.

Right now I've saving up for the civilian version of the Kriss Super-V.

Or a Kimber .45. Not sure which will be first.

New York, Baby!
I don't have a photo, nor have I seen it, but my wife and I were moving things out of her grandma's room when she found her (deceased ex police officer) grandpa's detective special in a sock. She freaked out, because as a little girl he always left his guns out and drilled into my wife and her cousins never to touch them.

I carefully took it into her grandma's new room and left it at that.

Never held a real firearm before that day, but it was surprisingly heavy for something so small. Don't even know if it should even be in the house and didn't want to see if it's loaded, because I don't really know how to.

Firearm's Enthusiasts

Not many people can consider themselves "tech savvy" and own / like firearms. I am a BIG firearms enthusiast. I own a pretty nice collection. I searched and the last firearms thread ended in June/July.

I saw in the just purchased thread a couple of weapon accessories. This would be the perfect spot for that.

I made this so people like myself can discuss anything firearms related. For example, I just moved and am looking for a new safe. Anyone have any recommendations?

Here are some of my favorite toys:

LWRCI M6A2 in 5.56mm with an AAC SDN-6.

Sig 229 in 9mm with an AAC Ti-Rant 9.

I am looking forward to seeing what you guys may have!

Nice!

Love the NFA attachments too - I don't have any threaded barrels/will to complete the paperwork to add any NFA stuff to my collection.

The only thing bad about NFA is you become addicted. I now have 4 cans; SDN-6, Ti-Rant 9, Silencerco SS Sparrow and YHM Mite. I am working on a Noveske 8inch SBR in 300 Blackout.

Once you get a can, you will keep buying barrels to make everything a host. lol

Oh, and if I could do it again, I would go the trust route.

300 Blackout in a 8" barrel? :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I have a AAC Micro 7 in 300 Blackout and it shoots movie quiet. It is comparable to my 9mm silenced. That is pretty impressive for a 7.62 bullet. So I figured what can be better? A Noveske AR is the answer.:D

How do you like your hi-point? I'm thinking about getting one and putting the ATI stock on there. I just hate the way it looks from the factory.

So why do you get to ask for a recommendation when my post asking for advice gets the boot?

----------

Just as a polite reminder, we are strictly avoiding any political rhetoric in this thread. Let's keep it civil, folks. :)

Apparently, we're also not allowed to solicit a recommendation for something as simple as Glocks and Walthers. Or at least I can't but others can.
