My iPhone 16 Pro with 5x zoom shifted delivery time to approx 1 year :(
I also would have liked to see the new periscope lens in the normal pro. Now i'm testing the new pro model. Apple made his job to lure me to buy the much more expensive phone 😀

PSA: To clear up the questions people had because of Apple's ambiguous info on the issue...

You CANNOT record 4K60P Prores to internal storage at all (at any storage level). You must use an external hard drive.

That’s awful!

Apple were not ambiguous on the issue. It is people not comprehending the written word that caused the issue. Apple said to be able to record at 4K60P external storage must be used. That's like going through a McDonalds drive thru, getting a hot coffee, the cup has 'hot' written on it, the server says 'careful' it's hot, the customer can feel it's hot but places it on a surface where it tips over then complains at McDonalds for not telling customers how they should place hot drinks in their vehicle.

Do people need everything written out to them in minute detail?

That's not at all what apple said. What they said was 'up to 4k 60fps with external recording'. Under 60fps is internal, 60fps must be external - Apple was deliberately vague - implying that external recording was an optional benefit, not that it 'must be used'. They could easily have said '4k 60fps is requires external recording' like they do on the phone, but in all of their marketing and tech-specs they used intentionally vague language to avoid outright declaring the limitation and make it seem like the phone is more capable than it is.

Don't lie about what Apple said. What they said is still available on their website. Based on what they said it could be understood that ALL ProRes video recording was limited to external recording - which is not the case, it's only 60fps.

Almost as if it’s perfect timing for the release of the next phone 🤔
Yes, that is the problem. If their battery goes down, instead of switching to another brand people will just buy a new iPhone. So Apple even gets rewarded. The battery problem surfaced two months ago or so and by then the iPhone 15 probably was already in production. So people should skip at least this one.

I wish more people would use their consumer power to put pressure on those companies. My dentist tried to charge me €4.50 too much. As a consequence In switched the dentist, filed a criminal complaint against him and after that had been handled I will even go public.

Apple is one of the richest companies on the planet. If they want consumers to trust them, the right thing after battery gate would be offering FREE battery replacements for all affected iPhone 14 users. Of course they first have to develop a better battery.

Can you imagine the beautiful Apple Stores  could build in New Zealand?
They'd really have to top their existing amazing retail locations for this wonderful part of Earth…
They could build one, in the style of the homes that Hobbits live in😁

You have a lot of time on your hands if you switch dentists for €4.50. Enjoy being in Europe where siestas are a necessity to survive.

Apple have dumped DPD in the UK… tomorrow’s phone is being delivered by DHL. Never had a parcel from them in my life, I am worrying…
Mine is with DHL, and I missed the delivery!

Took the dog out for her morning ablutions, and they came in that 5 minute window. Gutted.

Hoping they try to deliver it later today, as they did last time.

DHL is honestly better than FedEx and UPS. Don’t fret ❤️

Thank you for confirming this! No more 512gb back to 256gb for me!

Excuse me..? People like me? Have you lost the plot?

If you can't get it at launch, set an alarm for launch time. I purchased one for me, one for my partner and the other two are for my staff - not that I need to justify myself? What on earth.
You hiring? I mean...I live in Connecticut, so not *exactly* local...

Edit: this thread needs more 15 Plus! It's all Pro here...
