stay away from wow. it never ends- and thats a bad thing. it is addicting and for me frustrating. it brings out my hulk rage! plus every time i get sucked back into, i dont get anything productive done...

its a waste of time, life and $$!

I think most people get into an end-game routine of playing as much as they want to, but imo, repetitiveness really starts to be excessive depending on your tolerance for doing the same dungeons over and over. I was not into the big raids which are also repetitive, I imagine to a lesser degree than doing the 5 player dungeons. The last time I played I focused mostly on getting my top toon geared up to where I wanted him, but then it dawned on me, why am I exerting all of this effort? At that point I realized that I had burned out.

Not sure about this. When you start overgearing and facerolling heroics and find yourself doing the same raid content over and over, if you want, you can consider it finished. You can still do pvp and achievements but it's not like they will consume your time.

WoW has the most people and probably the simplest learning curve. However, if you are wanting a more true MMO experience, I would suggest loading up EQII on Bootcamp and starting on the Antonious Bayle server.

You have some great games to look forward to in the meantime. WoW has a new expansion coming out relatively soon. Rift, Star Wars: Old Republic, and others.

For a first MMO, I would not suggest any the FF's. Japanese MMO's are somewhat of a different breed. They can be fun but if you start out on them and then play more American based, it will be a learning curve all over.

Hope this helps..
