I’m talking about your average millionaire with a normal life just better. Maybe a nicer car, bigger parties, fancier dinners, more lavish vacations, and some impressive model friends.

This doesn’t really make sense. But regardless, a smart phone is a commodity, its used by anyone and meant for anybody of all incomes and lifestyles. Literally, thats it.

Just the Caribbean? And just Rolexes (and only three)?

They are only $20 each on the beaches of the Caribbean if you can barter the price down a bit.

You would be wrong, at least in the US. Maybe in China that's a better guess, they seem to like to be more status conscious.
[doublepost=1527476636][/doublepost]I replied to the OP's first post before reading the rest of the thread.

Its clear to me OP has mis-fixed assumption of how a Millionaire lives.

S/he should read "The Millionaire Next Door".

I was just curious if anyone had data on the distribution of iPhone models based on people’s income and/or net worth.

A millionaire who maybe uses his iPhone for banking tasks, maybe has important contacts, travels a lot, and is basically living the life, would probably have an iPhone X

Adding post #13 to the OP simply to avoid confusion of my thoughts. Hope this is ok.

Thank you all for your replies, but I just want to make sure I made my thoughts clear.

I'm not saying that the iPhone X is for people who make a certain income or have a certain net worth at all. Anyone who can afford it, can use it, and obviously you don't need more than the monthly payment to get one.

What I AM asking, if there's data out there, is what is the smartphone choice of millionaires? Meaning which smartphone do millionaires buy most?

MY GUESS: IPHONE X

Actually most the wealthy probably don't own the iPhone X unless they happen to have an need to upgrade their phones Between Nov to now and even then no? Unless their tech geeks or must have the best they probably have whatever phone they bought be it an iPhone 6, 6 plus etc until it stops working and just will buy the phone they think is the "coolest" or whatever they are used to. Actually just look at the people on instagram. A lot of them are using 6 ( and s models),7, and 8's even

From anecdotal evidence, from my friends that are of the same class as me(which are all my friends), I would say the preferred phone is the iPhone X 256 gb model. I remember when one lad came to a gathering at our club with a piano black (or jet black as the common folk would call it) 7 plus, he was so embarrassed. Surely, at the next gathering he was with an iPhone X. :D

I’m not sure if I would use Instagram as an appropriate metric to see what phones others are using, especially given for those who don’t even have an Instagram account. I would say every demographic is going to be different, and it’s likely based on what people see in public, near shopping malls or stores, ect. For every iPhone I see in public, I see just as many android phones. It really varies.

It was more of an example taking data from it and showing that through it you really don't see alot of Instagram models, celebs who frequently use it rarely do a lot of them have iPhones x's in their selfie shots. These are the people who I would assume have enough money to at least finance the phone and where a good camera on a phone is a necessity for some.

I'd turn up with a Motorola flip phone to a gathering like that.
