So - based on his critque - the issues are dealing with software compatibility on a new chip/platform. The Adobe issues will be addressed when their M1 native applications are released as well as with the Microsoft office applications.
This is not an issue with the M1 per se -- but the current state of third party software developers. Which we know will be addressed in the future.
I think there are valid reasons for waiting, probably not Edge support, but Forbes is notoriously anti-Apple. I swear my Google News feed has Forbes headlines like "iPhone and Apple Slammed by New Issue" headlines a couple times a week that is really "some random users are reporting some obscure issue..." when you click through.
Search "Forbes" and "iPhone" and there is a bunch of nitpicky articles about how awful the iPhone is.
“Complains about not being able to use Micro$oft Edge on Mac”.
Please, get real, even on Windows people don’t use Edge. Not to mention how are they trying to force people to use Edge, that’s a story for another time.
I use Edge with my work email sign in. Weird, though, that I haven’t had any issues with Edge on my new M1 MBP. Maybe it’s because I know what I’m doing and I’m not an idiot like this Forbes person.
