@rbart - used your app today during my first marathon. I didn’t lap (I didn’t know how to 🤷🏻‍♂️👊🏼), but I did use race mode👍 Next time I will be better prepared 😇

A new update is available on the app store
It’s mainly bug fixes, performance improvement and small UI changes
I continue to push small and frequent updates to enhance gradually user experience !
I hope I will find some time for bigger changes !

I am starting to work on interval plans ...
Lot of work to do (mainly on the UI).
Don't ask me for an ETA for the moment ! ;)

The "Interval plan" mode is in progress ...
I have a question for runners using imperial units.
When you plan an interval workout, what kind of measurement do you use ?
Miles, yards, miles with decimal units ? switch to metric system ?

By the way, I have noticed a regression with last version.
Just after importing a workout, the map is not always loaded.
A fix is waiting for Apple validation ...
Sorry for the disturbance

Version 2.0.12 is available now.
The only change is the fix for the annoying bug of map display after importing a new workout.
Enjoy !

I use time for my intervals. 5 minutes run, one minute walk, etc. I’m downloading your app— I’ve been using an interval timer, which works well, but I’m excited to explore this! Seems like it may have more interesting features.

I do use a mix of imperial and metric— like my brain understands imperial more automatically, so that’s what I mainly use, but when I’m running a 5k, I like getting alerts every kilometer telling me my pace. Easy to multiply by 5 and estimate my finish time. And more frequent than waiting for miles to get an update.

Looking— so is not not possible to set an interval plan at all yet?

After watching the last announcements from WWDC, it seems Apple has improved a lot the built in workout app ...
A great challenge for me. Let me take some time to discover exactly what they have included ...
I think some features will be available to 3rd party developers (but limited to iOS16/watchOS9)
In YouRace, the interval plan feature is almost working, it needs UI polish and tests ...

Hello,

I have an idea of basic improvement that everybody could use.

Could it be possible to have 5 hearts rate zones we can configure ourselves. And a way to see this When running, my idea would be to star with the actual heart number, and you have 5 Colors of the heart number (for example, if we take example of healthfit : Zone 1 blue, zone 2 Green, zone 3 yellow, zone 4 orange, zone 5 red), and you have the heart number (or the heart logo) showed in the zone color (so you have in the same way the heart rate and the heart zone)…

Merci

I am happy to announce the the interval plan feature is ready for beta test.
You can create/edit plans on your iPhone or your Apple Watch !
It's synced !
Then you can chose a training plan from you watch to start your workout.
You will be notified when an interval ends.
You can define intervals by time or distance duration.
You can group intervals in blocks to set a repeat number
I have some basic blocks to build your first workouts:
- warm up
- basic exercise block
- typical work/recovery block
- cooldown block
I will add more in the future (pyramid, ...)
Some features are not implemented yet (halfway alert, inform before interval ends ...) but it will be done soon.
It's a first beta, people who are interested for testing can request a TestFlight invitation at yourace.app@gmail.com

Here are some videos ...

It’s still free for the basic features (without ads)
It’s fully usable for free without any disturbance.
It’s a good way to test the app and see if you like it.
Then you can add more features with the cheap one time purchase « Pro » pack

It's coming ...
Some remaining tests in the coming days, and if all goes well, I will publish the 2.5 version with lot of improvements:
- interval plans
- updated settings UI
- FCMax calculation (based on last month workouts)
- Heartzones
I hope you'll enjoy it

Hello all !
A new version is coming with one new metric, %MaxHR, and a very important fix for inconsistent distances in Strava/files export and segments ...
In some cases (when you run with your iPhone+watch), distances could be wrong at export.
This release will be available in the coming days if the tests go well.
Then I will concentrate on watchOS9 new features.

Version 2.5.3 is available for everyone on the App Store with the important fix for export issues in some rare situations.

Some (bad) news…
I have serious health problems for some weeks, so, I have no time and energy to work on the app for the moment.
The current version is working well on watchOS 9, so there is no urgency to push a new release.
I hope I will recover soon and continue my journey with YouRace and all of you!
