This subject is discussed at length on this thread but the short answer seems to be 'No'. The only way to play BBC radio streams outside the UK is with Real Player which is not available for the iPhone.

ooTunes now allows BBC streams to work on the iPhone outside the UK. :D The server's not cheap though, I got it mostly for the sake of being able to stream in the background.

if those links that i posted in post #48 don't work, i don't have anymore. the first one actually has a website that i posted, but otherwise, i got nothing.

it seems that sometimes, the stations will work better on wi-fi, but very seldom on 3G.
 
i have finally gotten my links to work, although i had to find a bit of a workaround. to get them to work, i have to go to the "more" tab on the bottom right and toggle the "cellular network" button off and then on again. after i do that, it seems to work most of the time.
