You know, if you want to be the Apple poster boy here (and I think LTD may have something to say about that), you're going to have to learn some facts.

THis one os on the house. Google derives over 95% of its revenue from its search business. Google it.

Yeah, that's what I said.

MacNUT is WRONG to say Google's primary business is NOT search anymore.

Google may have branched out to other businessness, but GOOGLE is still a ONE TRICK PONY.

We're saying the same thing. so what is your problem? :)

Google is out to make money, if search is all they needed why bother branch out into these other side businesses. They realize that they can't do it alone with just search. As stated Google is an ad company that uses search as one of their avenues to do it.

Adword ads served on......? yeah that's right. Their SEARCH ENGINE.
Do you see those ads on Mac Rumors? Where do you think they come from? Google Ads are everywhere on the internet. What do you think adsense is? You click a web page Google gets a hit.

Search may be how people find the ads but it isn't search that makes Google money.

Why do you think Microsoft created Bing. It wasn't to be a search engine, it was for the ads.

Google AdWords is Google's main advertising product and main source of revenue. Google's total advertising revenues were USD$28 billion in 2010.[2] AdWords offers pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, cost-per-thousand (CPM) advertising, and site-targeted advertising for text, banner, and rich-media ads. The AdWords program includes local, national, and international distribution. Google's text advertisements are short, consisting of one headline consisting of 25 characters and two additional text lines consisting of 35 characters each. Image ads can be one of several different Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standard sizes.
Sales and Support for Google's AdWords division is based in Mountain View, California, with major secondary offices in Ann Arbor, Michigan,[3] the company's third-largest US facility behind its Mountain View, California, headquarters and New York City office.[4] Engineering for AdWords is based in Mountain View, California.

Google AdSense is an ad serving application run by Google Inc. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered, sorted, and maintained by Google, and they can generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis. Google beta tested a cost-per-action service, but discontinued it in October 2008 in favor of a DoubleClick offering (also owned by Google).[2] In Q1 2011, Google earned US$2.34 billion ($9.36 billion annualized), or 28% of total revenue, through AdSense.[3]

which place ads based on information Google knows about you based primarily on your Internet searches.
Search is the dummy that gets people to Google while the ads make the money.

Google would have left the search game years ago if they could not make money on it. Search costs money to keep the servers going, ads are what makes it profitable.

Frozen what is your problem with google and what appears to be blind hated for them

As for your screen shot I suggest you read the article and you would see it would not have any effect. As that page does not have any way for ad words to be bought. It is basically Google's home page so they can put something like that. It is about how page ranking is done and is good abusing its page rankings. If it turns out Google stuff pops up higher not because Google is forcing it but valid in that then it is complete legal.

It's completely fine for him to dislike it, but when he starts posting invalid assumptions about articles he misunderstands, then defends his wrong assumption by listing more things which are either wrong or apply to other companies yet he acts like they only apply to Google and that they are evil, it kinda reaches a point where people start to ask questions

Minus the fact that I do not hate Apple. Very critical and skeptical of a lot of things posted that somewhatly worship them but do not hate them.

I honestly encourage people to get Apple products but I am also a fan of the right tool for the job. For fair number of things Apple is far from the right tool for the job. It is all about what are your needs/wants and depending on those goes which way I say to go. For some people it is changed the job to force it to work with Apple. I am of the opinion that I should not have to changed the job to force it to work with a given product.

Innocent until proven guilty

On many occasions where people talk about Apple being so anticompetitive (the next Microsoft) and cite examples (dubious, might I add) to support this, I have responded by saying that Apple has never been the target of a formal antitrust trial, and has never been duly convicted of antitrust activities.

I am a card-carrying shareholder of Apple. I have Apple products and I like them. I am always angered at the double-standards applied to Apple, where Apple winds up with egg on its face over practices that countless others have engaged in. I have long been disgusted with the "Goliathization" of Apple, and the "Davidization" of any party pitted against Apple.

I pride myself on being fair. If I expect consistency with criticism of Apple's business practices, I should give Google a fair shake. Google has not been duly convicted of anything. So all you armchair judges should just pipe down! Call them anticompetitive all you want after they are duly convicted by a court of law. But until then, this is nothing but an investigation. For all we know, it's nothing more than a routine task. So shut up about Google being anticompetitive!!!
