Future iPad Killer by September ( Android)

while it is not as sexy as the iPad it does have a nice design.

features as of now:

HDMI output for 1080p video output

USB ports

and is based on the ARM Cortex A9 based Nvidia Tegra 2 processor.

You don't need iTunes to upload music, just transfer from computer.

Mwoah, not really impressed so far.
I didn't get an itch to get out and buy it like I did with my iPad.

It has nothing right now. Wait to see if it becomes a reality, THEN determine if it has any potential.

Funny how so many dismissed the iPad as "just a big iPod" and yet companies are still scrambling in an attempt to produce something that is comparable. Apparently it isn't as easy as they made it sound.
 
You know it's compliment enough to Apple products to have products from other companies come out that constantly get labeled as "XXX Apple Product Killer". If you're the company on top, then that's good enough.

However, I think it's like Android...it's just another product in the marketplace. I love my Android phone, but have Apple everything else. Regardless of whoever else follows Apple into the tablet market, Apple (for a long time I am guessing) will be seen as the leader.
 
Why did you post this as a future iPad killer?

Why not contender?

You seem so sure, just like the Pre, Nexus One, Storm, etc.

And fans like you are the ones I appreciate. :) Seriously, you're able to be an Apple fan while at the same time at least admiring competition and other companies' offerings. Unlike the guy above who I quoted.

I love my iPad NOW (well 7 weeks ago actually) and I could be dead by September. I suppose if you like 16:9 and don't mind forearms like Popeye when reading books in vertical orientation. And those old movies (which are MOST movies actually) will look just great with those black sides. This Haemorrhoid, sorry Android, will be out just in time for us to hear the news about iPad 2!
 
I'm not really an Apple fanboi. I welcome competition.

That being said -- this thing underwhelmed me.
 
I clicked the link with an open mind about this "iPad killer" but I wasn't impressed. I do like the Android platform but this device won't out sell the iPad. I think it's funny how users of other devices spend more time worrying about whether or not it's better than apple products than they do enjoying their device.

I tend to agree with you. So far that android tablet is not very impressive and I love the android platform (I love my nexus one! especially the ability to add a 3rd party battery that gives me 25 hours of continuous 3g tethering), but one thing that I dont like about the android platform is its multitouch technology NEVER works as good as the iPhone/iPad.
