That article makes me question the surveys more. Apple and Samsung keep trading 1 and 2 for years? I guess if I keep buying the same phones over and over I'm happy but how can I be dissatisfied without anything to compare it to. Another would be if I saw I am dissatisfied and I've spent a lot of money does that make me unwise.
Yeah but how do you know some of the participants are not first time buyers? You don't know. That is the beauty of the survey. You have to take it at face value.

Galaxy Note 4 beats iPhone 6+ for customer satisfaction

I just find interesting the Top 3 all have "5.5 displays or above. The phablet movement is finally TRENDING in the Western markets. Sorta bad news for me as I kinda want to go back to the "4.5-"5 range with iPhone 6/HTC One M7 being my preferred MAX dimensions in height.

And it surprises me that the much maligned Galaxy S5 has the same rating as the popular iPhone 6 series! So even with a so-called bad entry with lower review scores and lower sales than expected, Samsung can satisfy customers just as much as Apple with a plastic S5!

its a good thing current note 4 customers are happy with their devices, because it is being reported that sales have declined by as much as 40%

Yep, selling less and satisfying more is a recipe for long term business health.

This is why this survey is suspicious in the sense the sales numbers and trend don't seem to match its results.

If you read the article it has nothing to do with sales. It is customer satisfaction with the current phone.

I guess it is a very good thing huh! It is too bad IP6 sells more but it seems less people are satisfied with it.

The S5 is a really decent user experience. I have a 6 plus as well. iOS gets boring after a while. There is loads to play with on the S5 and i guess other Samsung devices. Silly things like ultra battery saver which greys out everything and makes the phone pretty basic. Great if you've been out with a low battery and saves it dying before you get back.

The fact it's plastic is irrelevant. iPhones would sell the same plastic or not. Its the user experience. Samsung IMO has came a long way since the S3 which i hated. Samsung is REALLY trying due to Apple. Which is great for us buyers.

If you go to the ACSI page and look at overall customer satisfaction for 2015 in the U.S by brand, Apple actually comes out top just above Samsung. As funny as that is with how this thread is intended lol.

Surveys generally give a rough guide as they only cover a fraction of the market. It could be 20,000 people participated in this one. It could be 100. I doubt Apple or Samsung release satisfaction results and tele-surveying annoys people into saying the first thing to get the call over ASAP lol. What we do know from ACSI is they rate these brands from their findings. Scrapping over who is best 'na na na naaa' is just amusing for the rest of us. I doubt it changes our own experiences much. :)

Lol, when an Apple device gets a good customer satisfaction rating, these guys don't question a thing, but let a Samsung get it and suddenly it is 'suspicious' :D got to love the ignorance here :)

I think the 6+ is amazing. It beats my old Note 4 and S6 Edge. The device focuses on the user rather than pizzazz, overpowered specs, and gimmicks.

You prefer underpowered specs then? Enjoy your 6+:apple:

Yeah when it comes to metrics when the iPhone wins...... They don't care how the data was collected or what questions were asked.

I have a Note 4 and can say I'm pretty dissatisfied with Samsung and customer service, as well as what is frequently a piece of crap phone at times, and other times an amazing phone that is utterly unmatched by anything else out there.

I think my biggest gripe with customer service is not having easy access to warranty support. Being able to walk into an Apple store and exchange my phone is pretty awesome. I know we can do that with phone carriers but sometimes it's a pain. For example, I outright purchases a T-Mobile Note 4 originally for use on ATT. When it crapped out I took it to a couple different T-Mobile stores, they all said they couldn't replace it because I had no account. ATT would replace it with an ATT model, but that's not what I wanted at the time. I ended up sending it back to Samsung warranty in Texas, between the shipping and the time they sat on it, it took about 2 1/2 weeks to get it back. When the replacement crapped out I had the same issue, this time I contacted T-Mobile corporate and bitched and they sent me a replacement. Don't even ask me the other 5 times my Note 4 had warranty issues.

I can't say that Samsung phone support has any winners either. I get some Latin American guy with a heavy accent taking me through a white sheet of minutia that has nothing to do with my issue, after an hour he says that I have to send the phone in.

So while I'm definitely a Samsung fan and not an Apple fan, I just don't see how Samsung could beat Apple in terms of customer satisfaction with the Note 4.

Underpowered? Nah, it manages to do well in single core processing, which means the most for the common smartphone functions.

I said underpowered specs, not underpowered. The processor and GPU are perfectly fine, the lack of RAM and buggy less well-featured o/s aren't.

I notice a little hiccup here and there. About the same as the Note 4 and S6 Edge.

There is ignorance on both sides of the fence mate. People will have opinions regardless of what brand they buy. The fact is the iPhone and Note are close in this survey anyway, so quite why people are getting upset or basking in triumph is beyond me lol. Ego flexing that turned into debate, but this is a discussion forum at the end of the day. :)

I don't think the 6s plus will even have multi window. That will be saved for only iPads .
