haha,

Does that make me dumb for buying an iphone 6?
I'll still get a Note 4 though.

No it doesn't, the iPhone 6 is a solid phone in my opinion... the 6 Plus on the otherhand has worse graphics performance and can bend pretty easily in a pocket over time. The screen is good but the graphics performance is worse because of it. The Note 4 is better than the 6 Plus IMO. Would you use both phones or return the iPhone?

Well it is certainly true that the iPhone 6 Plus does bend, so I'm not sure how it isn't true that it can bend over time with pressure... I'm not spreading FUD, I'm spreading concern for the long term use of the device which clearly bends under pressure... it's not an opinion we can agree on that! Ok... maybe without the "pretty easily" part but the rest is the same.

Is it necessary for Samsung to put these ugly patterns on every front screen? Why not just make it normal coloured?

Yes it can bend. Lots of things can bend under the right pressure.

I'm sick of the "bends pretty easily from just being in your pocket" nonsense. That's certainly not true.

I think there are enough click-whoring media outlets out there spreading the "concern" over this "issue" without posters here adding to the nonsense.

There are other reasons one can list the Note 4 as the better device. Stick to factual/subjective reasons.

So true.
I heard that dude made like $60k possibly on that one video as it has over 33million views.

Absolutely insane and kind of sickening with how whorish our social media minds are now a days where a flawed test can garner such bashing of a quality product.

Moving on..

I don't know why people are getting all worked up about this. It will blow over like all the other gates. There is always a gate when the latest iphone is released.

Well, considering the phone has been available for purchase for an entire week, not sure where you're getting your "it can bend over time with pressure" statistics. Got a time machine stowed away we don't know about?

I don't have a link available but saw an article, on Yahoo I believe, calling into question the validity of that Youtuber's video as there are inconsistencies all over the video, specifically that at one point the clock on the iPhone is like 2:30 but then later in the video when doing his bend tests is 1:58.

Yes, iPhones will bend--I bet I could probably bend all the phone's I have in half with enough pressure. The viral nature of this is getting completely ridiculous, as is the FUD like this that people are perpetuating.

Ok... about that... I did watch the video and read the "debunking"... and I personally didn't think that explanation debunked anything! Simply put, he showed his phone being slightly bent from his pocket, did the bend test, and then cut back to him talking about the phone before he did the bend test. When I first watched it I was like how come his phone went back to being less bent than it was after the brutal bend test? I concluded he either bent it back or simply cut to him talking about the phone and stuff before the actual bend test. I didn't pay attention to the time which confirms that he cut to the earlier portion of the shoot for the concluding remarks. This doesn't debunk the video whatsoever.

Got to fondle a N4 today, all I can say is WOW. Solid feeling, touch wiz revamped to be uniform, just an incredible looking and feeling phone. Also got to fondle a N4 Edge, very nice and made me think twice about it, but I'll most likely stick with the N4 as I doubt the Edge will get much if any dev support. My excitement level for this phone just went up 10x.

Any decent new wallpapers?

I hear the new save Note feature is amazing.

Didn't get that deep into it. I'm curious about snote, but OneNote is so incredible on android.

One thing that constantly frustrates me with s-note is that the back button cannot be disabled. I keep hitting it all the time while taking notes. With One Note, it disables the back button as soon as it detects the s - pen hover. And that is a feature I very much appreciate.

I wonder if the S-Note on the N4 has addressed this. Otherwise S-Note is a pretty good app.

I use 2 phones, a 5.5"+ and a sub 5" phone. Just depends on the occasion.
50-50 on keeping the iPhone. I will take a look at the new Samsung Alpha to see if that might be a better fit for me but I'm disappointed with the 720p screen.

Idk I watched the consumer reports video and the iPhone 6 bent at 70lbs of force vs 150 for the note 3 and I don't know why they didn't add the gs5 in there because that sucker is water sealed and built a lot stiffer solid over the note 3.

A 70 lb kid leaning on a desk at school can bend the iPhone pretty easy and it scored the lowest out of all other phones tested.

I hope you realize that your example is in no way analogous to the test the Consumer reports conducted...not even close.

That test also confirms that the story originally posted that a guy bent his iPhone simply by sitting with it in his front pocket is absolute b&%$*&%t. Nobody's pocket is exerting 90lbs+ of pressure on their phone.

Wish I could but once I see my naked phone tumbling across a parking lot pavement, I have to slap a case on it. I'll go caseless at home but when I'm out, I need a case on there.

I certainly did not regret my $40 investment in an Otterbox commuter those times that my 4S tumbled down the sidewalk on my way back home from the pub. I find that my Note 2 has been harder to drop by mistake but surely I will put at least a thin case on my N4. If nothing else than to protect it from scratching so that I can sell it for good $$ when the 5 comes out ;)

Is it necessary for Samsung to put these ugly patterns on every front screen? Why not just make it normal coloured?

To each their own of course but at least from the pictures that pattern looks pretty classy IMO. Especially in conjunction with that rounded glass edge. And it's hardly visible on the black version.

Didn't get that deep into it. I'm curious about snote, but OneNote is so incredible on android.

Google Keep will always be my go-to notes app, but the handwriting recognition on the N4 seems stunning (already is on the N3 imo). I also love the new feature that you can pin any quick note right on the home screen as a fully readable mini yellow sticky note, just looks so cool.

One thing that constantly frustrates me with s-note is that the back button cannot be disabled. I keep hitting it all the time while taking notes. With One Note, it disables the back button as soon as it detects the s - pen hover. And that is a feature I very much appreciate.

I'm just wondering when the hell someone will make the back button a two-ways control where you swipe one way to go back and the other way to go forward again. Apple's side swipe is nice but this would be one step closer to the thumb.

I like to laugh at Apple and all, but seriously people need to realise they're being silly if they take this thing seriously. If you manage to bend your brand new $1000 iPhone this means that you're a stupid, careless ****, there's just no two ways about it.

Snote sucks IMO, I stopped using it the second OneNote added handwriting support. It's main handicap is inability to sync it to a PC or anything else out there.
