Duh! Turn off animations in developer options.

The point is... He didn't do that. He is using both devices as they come and yet the Ace 4 seems to better optimised. Even the way the stock browser handles going back a page. Those are things unaffected by those settings in developer options regardless.

Seriously? Sweet, now all they need to do is add Hulu and I would be set. Also curoius if the five columns found on the google now launcher for the nexus 6 is available for the Note 4, I know I tried it a couple months ago and it was still 4 columns, but that was before the Nexus 6 was available.

I'm off to get a note 4 tomorrow, I have a 6+ at the moment but want to try out the note to see which I prefer. All the reviews and talk of lag are a bit off putting but I'll give it a try anyway.

Small detail I know, but which colour do people prefer? I know it's my decision,I'm just interested what colour others have / like

Thanks

Get the black

It's a big phone, I had a white Note 3 and if I could could go back it would get the black one like my 6 plus :) looks better when locked.

Some have been available for multi window since last year, many people (Samsung haters) love to say there are barely any apps that support multi window, but many apps have been getting support for multi window, from LinkedIn, Bloomberg, Hancom Office, Opera Mini, to Nokia HERE Maps, Vine, Twitter, Dropbox, SoundHound etc...

Just a quick note: the brand new "XCOM: Enemy Within" is also on sale on Android, not only iOS.

Loving to play the game on my iPad Air 2, I've immediately purchased it for my Note 4. While the 3D animations are significantly slower and there are some other problems like the speech transcript being significantly smaller, the game seems to be working pretty OK on my factory NK4 Snapdragon 805-based device.

Had an update and battery life is better when on 3G/H+

Directly comparing them, and of course subjectively, I've noticed the ip6+ gets better battery life. This surprised me seeing how thin the ip6+ is. My daily routine is to go to the gym about 20 miles away with Waze open on my dashboard, then I would stream internet music to the phone which would stream to my Bluetooth headphones in the gym for about 2-3 hours. Then I would drive to work about 25 miles away with Waze open again. When I get to work my ip6+ would be at about 70%, my Note 4 would be at about 50%.

This is a very sad sight to my eyes :(
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-att/development

Not even basic Root yet  Phone has been out for 2+ months and ZERO development for ATT users :( Nothing but tumble weeds blowing, and crickets chirping.

F u ATT.

Thank God I have my OnePlus One, this phone is a beast, especially running CM12 already. But would be open and tempted to go to the Note 4 is I could root it, and install ROM's. But I am on ATT, which does have excellent service in my area, and a very good plan = $130 / Month for 2 phones = Unlimited minutes + Unlimited texts + 10GB Data, and rock solid stable network for me.

I'll pass on paying $700+ off contract for the Note 4. On ATT would be like $99 on my plan, but with no root = no way.

Yep, that's why I sold my ATT version and eventually rebought a Tmobile version to use on ATT's network. While I blame ATT, I also blame Samsung for not providing the bootloader like some other Android manufacturers do.

From what I understand Android will be more locked down universally with Lollipop, although I don't know the details or why. Eventually it will be all locked down anyhow IMO.
Tmobile note 4 and unlock it and use it on AT&T. We have CM 12 already

Any of you using the Google Now Launcher? I'm curious if it was updated to better support the larger screen of the Note. Last time I tried it, it still had 4x4 icon grid, however I have noticed on the Nexus 6 it seems to be 5x5.

I've got 5% left and I've has 1 day, 14 hours total

I've owned both (just sold iPhone 6+ after owning since launch, but owned both at the same time), and for me, battery life is almost the same.

Just got rid of the Note 4. Couldnt get over how bad the camera is on that phone. Other than that, Samsung has come a long way but Touchwiz IMO is still it's fault. Back to the Plus I go.

I feel just the opposite..... I think the N4 camera is better. Not by much mind you. They are really close but I can crop pictures more on the N4 because of the 16MP it's camera has versus the 8MP on my 6+. But you can't go wrong with either one IMHO.

Wow that's interesting.. I think the camera is great on this.

Every pic has blur on the Note I had. It's not a good point and shoot as the Iphone camera seems to be. I had it on auto with HDR off.

Maybe you have a defective camera? Here is a shot taken a few minutes ago. Point and shoot in low light and no editing.....

There's only 3 possible explanations for your poor images.

1) Defective Camera
2) You're the cause of the poor images.
3) You're simple lying.

This camera is in no way anywhere near as bad as your describing. It's easily one of the best cameras on a smartphone. Happy New Year.

There are numerous posts about how bad the camera on the Note 4 is. Maybe you're just fine with its shortcomings but I wasn't. The only time it takes good pics is in bright sunlight. Any indoor pics are up in the air as far as clarity goes. Don't be ignorant and call me a liar.

Yeah I'm getting blur, I'm also getting a lot of graininess in just moderate darkness.

Look at the pic below, the room was fairly well lit by a floor lamp about 2 feet away, a crap ton of xmas lights and a xmas tree. I stood perfectly still. Most of my xmas pics that night turned out like this, not as much blur but all of them had that graininess. These were taken at the maximum Note 4 resolution. My wife took pics with her ip6 in the same room and they came out decent, some were a bit dark but none had that graininess.
