So using your logic......

Then iphone buying public doesn't need 3D Touch or even Touch ID....the the models that didn't have those features sold extremely well. So I guess going forward the iphone does not need any additional features because it is selling so well as it is. See how flawed that logic is? The iphone 6 didn't need a larger screen then huh?
No one is saying the lack of a notification light is hurting iphone sales. I am an iphone buyer and would love to have a notification light.
Why would you be against a useful feature? It makes no senses to me.
If you have no use for it.....great. But others would love to have the feature.

Actually my logic is: it is completely up to Apple. :)

Now regarding the notification light, I use to want that feature, but ever since purchasing an Apple Watch, it no longer bothers me. The Apple Watch acts as a notification light and so much more.

If it bothers you that much try an Apple Watch. You don't really have many alternatives. :)

My alternatives as limited on IOS devices for sure. But I also use a Note 5 along with my iPhone 6s+. I don't wear watches so have no interest in the Apple Watch tbh

It is fine. Every feature an android phone has the iPhone eventually gets. It may take a decade or 2, but they eventually copy it. (Al though in this case, the Apple Watch became the notification light.)

What I would like to see is Apple copy the Pixel light bar on the MacBook and ipads. That would be a nice feature.

You can't argue with people that believe a row of dead icons is the only way, because they have no choice. They accept what they have and defend Apple's decision to limit their experience.

These are the same people that said the 3.5"phone was perfect. Then said the 4"iPhone was perfect and that if it was any bigger, you couldn't use it with one hand. Then they made fun of the Note series, claiming a stylus and phablet size was idiotic and a crappy experience. Hypocrisy runs rampant in the halls of Appledom.

Or it could be some apple fans were claiming 3.5" was perfect, then other apple fans were claiming 4", but since you just saw apple fans you lumped them all together into a collective. Same with the ones making fun of the Note, are those exact same people now buying the 6Plus?

Plus, people's taste change over time, I used to think 4-4.2" was the perfect size (the iPhone was still at 3.5" at the time), until I got an optimus g pro, then 5.5" became the perfect size, and now with the Note 5, 5.7" seems perfect to me. Also, as phones have gotten thinner, its become easier to deal with larger size screens too.

Compared to my iOS designed for iPod experience that's so limiting and restrictive that I can't even place app icon anywhere on the home screen.
If you want to liberate iOS from Apple's straight jacket then you must jailbreak. If you want Android to run as smooth as iOS then you must freeze or remove the bloat from Samsung and the carriers. I have both and that is what I always do. Both are lacking.

Well poor screen size is why I left apple in the first place..luckily that's been sorted

. I find myself much more organized on iOS than I was on android. I always would have to dig into my app drawer which couldn't be arranged since I like my home screen to be clean with 2 pages max.
is this a wind up? iOS more organised with home screen placements.. lol. every ounce of iOS home screens can be replicated in seconds on the cheapest and nastiest android device... you have app icons and er.. folders.. the end.. are you trying to tell us that you have no organisation on your DROID devices... just searched in alphabetical order in the app drawer.. or is that some lame ass story on a forum just to try and boost your flagging side of the debate... pathetic...

At the moment i have the normal S6 Edge with 64 GB. I considered to to try out the new 6s Plus but i know it would bore me after a few weeks and so i thought to update to a s6 Edge+ would be a nice idea.

Better camera and display than the 6s Plus, 40 grams lighter, 76% body to screen ratio, wireless charging, stunning design, i love it!!! :)

And the best, i payed only 600€ with 32GB, for the 6s Plus i had to buy the 64GB model for 959€.

Even with the better price value for the 6s plus, i reject to pay so much for a device which is worse in the for me most important areas (display & cam).

I love my Mbp13 and ipad Air, but for phones maybe the iphone 7 can step up in this areas.

I think he has a point. Yes android has a filing system so in that respect things are more organised. However when it comes to the home screen I think in some ways iOS forces you to be organised. You can only put your apps on the home screen, so in my case I've had to organise them in folders according to app type otherwise the whole thing would be a mess. When I used android I didn't use folders. I had widgets and my most used apps on the home screen which was fine. The thing o found was that Id completely forget what apps I had in the app draw because I wasn't using it very often and at best they were organised alphabetically.

So you agree that he hasn't got a point, you just forgot you could just use folders and replicate any ios home screen 100%.. Well argued his case sir.. Plus having the option of widgets meaning extra versatility.. Well said that man. Lol

If you are going to replicate an iOS home screen then the person might as well buy an iPhone that will do it a lot better.

If you want home screens with widgets and an extended app drawer then Android delivers that. I agree with others that iOS forces you to be organised and is less fuss. That's works for many of us and to be honest I couldn't care less if I can do a lot more with an android device. I have been there and done all that with Android and it hasn't compelled me to continue buying their devices. We all buy what we like.

They generally are more organised from what I have seen. Maybe that was the point?

The thread here: 'Show off your android home screen' - is mostly full of pretty messy set ups. Then again to the individual they most probably appear very organised.

Actually, every ios device looks the same. Is forced uniformity the absolute definition of organization?

I don't mind icons in rows, but wouldn't it be nice to have some individuality? Maybe add some additional info on your screen?

I mean, do you consider this organized? Or messy?

Yes on a number of occasions - was last there only the previous weekend ago :) I'll dig some photos out for you tomorrow.

They stop going out on the 30th September and restart in spring depending on weather.

It's spectacular but you need a good stomach if the waters are choppy on the trip out there. Likewise you can be down at portmagee (the leaving point) ready to venture and it turns out there are no sailings because of the inclement seas. So you don't always get to sail.

Every iOS does look similar but I like the look personally. I like that every icon is the same shape and offers uniformity. Being a designer I'm probably more fussy than most and prefer a symmetrical screen layout.

The screen you have shared does have a lot more information on it I agree. Where I would drag down my notification bar to view similar content, you have it on one screen. To me however it looks messy, but that is just my opinion. :)
