My son decided he wanted an iphone so I let him have a 128 gig iphone 6 I got for super cheap($230) so I took his Note 5 international over as my main phone. The phone is great and today is my first full day of normal use, I will be curious to see the battery life. I am at 93% with 4h 4m on the battery, screen on time is at 26 min

One complaint so far is the fingerprint scanner is really sub par, even the cheap Honor 5x I was using for a bit has a better scanner. I dont like how you have to hit the home button then let it register your fingerprint. Samsung has top of the line everything else, they should have a top shelf scanner. There is also some bloat I cant uninstall, while others it would let me. I cant uninstall Facebook, Instagram and MS Office apps
I rooted my phone using a ROM that has none of that. I did install FB and Instagram though as well as Gmail and Google Maps. The ROM I am using had none of this.

The battery life has been good, I'm at 60% with 10h 22m on battery with 3h 1m screen on time

First full day and the battery is awesome. I'm about to go to bed, it is at 26% with 14h 31m on battery and 5h 23m sot

Just wondering anyone here compared the Note 5 camera with the iPhone 7 plus? I just see reviews for the S7 or Note 7. My Note 5 have been buggy especially when I'm texting it gets really laggy. I did a factory reset a week ago and everything was back to normal until yesterday. I really like the hardware of the note 5, but software is not good...also don't want to mod or install a different rom.

I've had no particular issues with the software on my Note 5, I certainly haven't noticed any lag even though I've had it running constantly with no factory reset for almost a year now.

Yeah my Note 5 runs great, one thing I have noticed is the camera lens gets smudged very easy. I am always having to wipe it off, not really a knock on the phone I am just saying. That and not being able to uninstall Facebook and Instagram are my only grips. It is a great phone

I must have bad luck with Samsung devices. My Galaxy S6 had touch screen problem, the Note 5 I had before the replacement had speaker issues and now the current one is laggy and buggy. Not knocking on the phone, would be the almost perfect phone if I didn't experience software issues.

One fix I noticed in the most recent software update for the Note 5 is my weather widget on the home screen finally works after all this time.

7.0 is now available to those on at&t. Running great on my Note 5, only missig feature seems to be always on display.

Still waiting for Nougat and on my 920i. It's a non-carrier / SIM free model so the delay is laughable. It's not like they go sidetracked prioritising the Note7!

Those with an S8 wanting Bixby to be useable/better better hope Samsung make a momentous change in their approach to software development.

I'm going to wait to install Nougat when it releases for T-Mobile. I'm rooted on my Note 5. I have some S7 Edge phones that have Nougat installed and a uS unlocked S7 Edge and I prefer the unlocked on MM.

I've always had this love/hate thing going with my Note 5. When the battery doesn't do these 10% drops within an hour id disconnecting from the charger, it's a great phone. There are also times when the phone will just eat through battery by as much as 40% in an hour between times I used the phone. Closing apps always seems to solve that.

Not ready to do more experimenting on it. Yet.
