Galaxy S 7 vs iPhone 7

Main areas I'm interested in
- Display iPhone has a better display in my opinion
- Speed iPhone by far
- Camera not sure didn't really use it on either.
- Audio output / clarity etc
- Battery (how long) iPhone by far over 1 day even during heavy usage. Had to charge my s7 2-3 times a day.
- Battery (how fast 2 re charge) Samsung but it died about 10x faster
- Price iPhone is lik $20-$30 cheaper
- bugs / annoyance if any the s7 is a lagging machine, I hated it so much, this is my first iphone I won't ever go back this phone beats the galaxy by far. I've had 1-7 galaxy s series and notes 3-5, oh and also the iPhone has a lot better resale value,

iPhone for the win and that's coming from a guy that use to hate Apple and love Samsung...

Here is a quick and dirty comparison between the IPHONE 7 PLUS and S7 Edge video quality. I've taken close to 400 comparison pictures between the two in the last couple days but I haven't had time to properly upload all of the images and write up a formal comparison between the two. Hopefully I'll get a chance in the coming days to put something together. You can draw conclusions on your own from the video below, the S7 edge being on the left and the IPhone on the right.

At 4:01 he takes a photo, it looks better on the iPhone, then he zooms to the center, and sees the sharpening of the Samsung and calls it for Samsung...

Again, if you prefer cooked photos, Samsung...

At 5:00, he prefers the Samsung, doesn't really say why, but he ignores the fact that the table is much crisper on the iPhone, for the lightning, that's what happens when using fluorescent lights, either it randomly has a magenta or green cast, it's not any phone's problem.

I'm not going to argue about who's supposedly biased on YouTube, that's a never ending fanboy debate.

But again, My actual experience with these devices shows me that the iPhone 7 Plus has worst OIS than the S7 edge and the Note 7. My experience is with my own hands in real life situations. When walking, the iPhone 7 video shakes the most. Panning around while standing still, the iPhone 7 has more notiacable shakes in transition.

I picked the iPhone 7plus in matte black.
Coming from a iPhone 6s and a s 7 edge duo.
Got rid of the edge, could not stand the false touches and hated the edge screens.

I know it's suppose to be the same as a 6s plus. But the Matte black makes it feels like a completely redesigned phone.

there are a lot reviews on youtube - which is the best? why? why iPhone is compared with Samsung? Chinese manufacturers will soon come on the heels. The quality will not play, and the price will vary by tens of times. Can beelive me.

- Display-- SAMSUNG has a much better display
- Speed--IPHONE is twice as fast
- Camera-Similar on both, the 7 plus has a better camera, better 7mp selfie camera on iphone
- Audio output / clarity etc-IPHONE works better with bluetooth accessories and has slightly louder speakers
- Battery (how long)- Similar
- Battery (how fast 2 re charge)-SAMSUNG has much faster recharging
- Price- S7 is cheaper than the Iphone 7, but it also loses it's value a lot faster
- bugs / annoyance if any- Samsung has tons of bloatware and software glitches. It always gets hung up on something and tends to lag. Iphones have bugs too but they don't lag and don't have as many software bugs.

Samsung doesn't have a "much better" display.

Depends entirely on what your metrics are. The S7 is cheaper, has a larger, higher resolution display yet is only barely larger than the iPhone 7. iPhone has a faster CPU and OS and possibly better camera.

Does the iPhone still record mono audio in video? All of the comparisons for audio in video make the iPhone sound tinny.

The S7 has real innovation. Fast wireless charging, quad HD display with similar battery life to the 750p iPhone. It just needs a faster OS, the fact that android is everywhere makes this difficult.

With each year the iphone catches up a little more. This year with waterproofing they are closing the gap a little more. They still need to add wireless charging (not some proprietary method mind you) and SD Card and allow more basic customizations. My Note 7 and 7+ are pretty close eachother.

Agreed. But you know Apple will get a proprietary method for the wireless charging. The delay is probably for just that reason.

The difference between your note 7 and 7+ are that your note 7 takes full advantage of the big screen and has custom UI to utilise it. The 7+ is just a bigger 7.

How is it different? Apart from the HTC camera (that doesn't have OIS on the second camera - bizarre - but don't worry you can have that next year, please buy it again because of the flaw we built in).

That's it. That's the only difference. Apart from the landscape mode on the home screen....

Different (higher) resolution, different (higher) PPI, 1 GB more RAM, and even the different camera which even on its own already means it's not just a larger 7.
