Anyone know how I can sell my 64 gb Galaxy S6 Edge Gold sealed retail box the quickest? Swappa.com's pricing is weird because someone is selling "new resale" for $695 and that hurts my value big time for the retail sealed box I have.
Try eBay? Try listing it in both places.

Yeah, the S6 & S6 Edge values have really gone done lately. I gave up selling my S6 and have decided to keep it. eBay is an option but be prepared to pay 10% of the price for the final sale price.

Unfortunately this is what happens to Android/ Samsung devices, their value fades quickly.

eBay is going to ask for $82.30 in commission lol. I don't want to pay that much. I am going to lose more than what I paid.

Well, I need to sell the phone quick so I can buy an iPhone 6+ now, so I can't sell it for too low so I can get a 64 GB 6+ brand new. 10% is too much. eBay could be friendlier with their commission rates for electronics to say the least. I think Swappa it is, but I can probably get away with around $800 if it's factory retail sealed, right? I saw a bunch of people badgering sellers about dropping prices though.

Out of curiosity, you have in your possession an UNopened Galaxy S6 that you don't want and can't return? If you're going to lose money on it then you obviously paid full retail price for it. If it's unopened then return it. Why try to sell it at a loss? Even if you return it for store credit, that seems more plausible than selling for a loss unnecessarily.

Why can't you just return it and get all your money back?

Can't really return a gift, especially without a gift receipt.

If it's a gift then how are you losing money?

If you know where the phone has been purchased from they will have a record of the serial number and there is a chance they will give you a refund. It's worth a go.

Won't it be a bit awkward bumping into the person that bought you this gift and you are not using it?

I like swappa but yeah every phone doesn't matter the model they'll be buyers negotiating for lower prices.

What does your s6 retail for?

Nope, not at all. They actually will see me using the S6 Edge since I already own one :).

If you are in the US....try Craigslist. List is as trade only for a 6+ 64GB and what color you want. Then set the meetup in the carrier store so you can verify the phone is free to be activated on your account. Bada bing bada boom :)

When I was doing my die hard phone switching and buying I used Clist for years and then all the shady things started to happen more and more so now I just sale and buy on Swappa.

That's what I was about to suggest. I just traded my 64gb S6 for a 64gb iPhone 6 and $100 using Craigslist. What did kinda suck though is that I was just offered a 128gb iPhone, but had already traded the S6.

There is a lot of buzz around the S6 out there so you can trade up like that from a 64GB to a 128 GB phone.

Craigslist isnt worth trading phones. The person you trade with can stop making payments, report it lost/stolen after the deal. It doesnt matter what swappa's imei check or any other says before you trade

Yeah I think you'll have better luck doing this. A trade will be easier for people to do I imagine

Not really....thats why you meet at the carrier store to verify the phone is paid off and not financed or blacklisted.
As for the swappa IMEI check....its fools gold. So go there and check a phone you have financed through your carrier. It will come back clean as you have been paying you bill. Now say someone is trying to rip you off on Swappa. All they have to do is list their phone...then not pay the bill. Now it won't get blacklisted for about 60 days later. Now 60 days later your phone stops working.

I have personally known someone who traded a phone and then it was reported lost. I also bought a phone a few weeks ago from someone, the person I sold it to traded it for a fake note 4. He asked if I could have the original owner report it lost and he was able to since I still had the imei

I thought swappa checks to se if a phones financed? I've seen the mods tell the sellers they see a financed phone.

Now reporting lost/stolen, yeah

Ebay is one of the last places people should sell stuff like phones, especially with the 6 month period now people can file a claim on you
