My GS6 has what i consider to be a flaw. My location keeps going back to high accuracy, GPS, wifi and mobile networks after i put it in just wifi and mobile networks to save battery. When i notice my battery draining a little fast i go check and lo and behold, it is back in the high accuracy mode.

That bugs me.

My nexus 6 does this on occasion and I am unsure how to fix it. 5.1.1 fixes it

I knew you guys/gals would come through! I am very familiar with Android but was looking for specific TouchWiz or s6 ones and you knocked it out of the park!

Appreciate it!

Zedge is the must get app for ringtones and text notifications etc. That app really blew my mind on how easy to customize ringtones and notifications vs itunes.

What phone will hold more value, especially around the time of the 2015 iPhone? 6+ 64 GB in Gold/Space Gray or 64 GB Gold Galaxy S6 Edge? Will the difference be worth it enough to buy a 6+ now and then use it for 3 months? Or just open my Galaxy 64 GB model and then wait for the 6S/6S+?

I think the iPhone will slightly just because of the market, especially if yours is unlocked. It might be pretty even though.

So I've noticed I'm moving away from the Samsung apps. The only one I'm still using is their keyboard and camera . Launcher? Google. Messenger? Google. Browser? Google.

Edit : And S Health

I think I'll unlock my S6 Edge sometime in June. I decided to keep the 64gb one. The Gold color just looks so good too.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the Galaxy S6.

Haven't had any issues with battery life so far, can easily get 4+ hours of SOT and this thing charges lightning fast.

Display is amazing, build quality is also great, double the storage of my previous phone and the camera is just mindblowing. The addition of the "normal" fingerprint where you don't have to swipe to unlock made me switch from the iPhone to the Galaxy and I don't regret it at all.

This is my 2nd ever galaxy phone (1st one since the S2 which was also my first ever smartphone) and so far so good, hopefully it stays this way.

I'm interested in how it'll do against the M9 and others after patch.

From that video comparison S6 had no multitasking capabilities at all.

You're going to have to expand upon this point dramatically.

The stop watch never reloaded. It's an application whose very purpose requires multitasking.

The other apps, not so much. They weren't even registering actions from the user. Temple Run was on the title screen. As was Smash Hit. Exactly what action was the user multitasking?

Lets try this, I can have half a typed paragraph in the native browser in the background on the S6, and it will load that paragraph every time I return to that app. In the foreground I'll have Pinterest and Youtube running in split screen and copying and pasting between them, while Google play music is running in the background...All while having several minimized app windows on the home screen that can be maximized with a single touch without reloading.

Get back to me when the M9 can do that.

That's actually true. On the USA AT&T carrier it was 237MB update released about 3 weeks ago.

Update summary

Effective May 13, 2015, AT&T will release a sofware update for the Samsung Galaxy S 6 (G925A).

Software update includes
  • Battery performance enhancement
  • HD Voice enhancement
  • Screen enhancements
  • AT&T Message enhancement
  • Screen rotation enhancement
  • Power key press time from .5sec to 1.5sec
  • Other various performance enhancements

I haven't seen a sign of apps being killed in the background aggressively since, though I never noticed it was an issue much outside of the TW launcher and youtube randomly in the background.

And ... I'm on Sprint, so I get none of this. :D

Edit: Unless version G920PVPU1AOE2 is the most current firmware?

I have a co-worker on Sprint and he updated close to when I did. I think all the major carriers have updated at this point.

The release notes were never fully made public I don't think.
Sprint Version: G920PVPU1AOE2 05/11/2015

So that one, the one that has the "bug fixes" description on their firmware page, is the latest?
