I do have a newborn son, which is why videos and pictures are uploaded to Dropbox automatically and then automatically transfered to our private online gallery ... Still no need for massive storage. Would never use my phone as sole location for precious pictures like that.

What happens when you are not near wifi? My Note 4 shoots 2160P at 30fps. That will fill up space FAST. You have a phone with 16gb internal storage, most of that is taken up with the OS, music, apps etc. What happens when you run out of space on the road?

I never said I use the phone or SD card as the sole location, but when I'm on the road and have no access to wifi it IS the solo location temporarily. There are definitely still needs for external storage IMO, at least for my needs there are.

And sure enough in 4 months Samsung will wonder why yet another S series flopped.

Looking at the image, I think that's a Galaxy Alpha - so hopefully it is just a placeholder - though of course the price could be right and just image could be a placeholder - I guess we will know soon.

If it is real - God help the Edge's pricing.

I honestly don't think there will be many people willing to pay €1000 / $1000 / £700 for an android phone - no matter how great it may be - simply because there is SO much competition in the android marketplace.

Would be madness

Are you tempted by the edge? I shouldn't be but I am. .I need to tell myself it will come with the next note line

Only because it looks really pretty :p But yeah and the fact its symmetrical and not going to be left handed unfriendly - makes it more tempting to me.

But it will depend on availability and pricing.

Damn if only Samsung could lose the chrome. And do they need logos on the front and back?

That's for S7!! You can't give the consumes everything in one shot :p

They will also introduce SD Card in S7, and we will rejoice..

I love the Edge! Not planning on getting one because that money is set aside for the Apple Watch next month but it looks great.

That is one fugly phone but anything Samsung puts out is a step behind in aesthetics IMO.

I can't get past the chrome. Immediately says Samsung device. They wouldn't need any logic at all. :)

Yeah Samsung fans actually want a device that has Samsung DNA in it lol.

Haters gona hate though

If it's fake plastic chrome they hate and if it's REAL metal chrome they hate more.

I thought Touch wiz was being left out? Now I'm concerned how much of it is on there.

Saw the leaked video from PhoneArena, and while I rarely praise Samsung on their design, that S6 Edge looks really, really good. Shame if it comes with a glass rear. Slippery slopes and another ergonomical issue. The S6 can drive away millions if Samsung removed the swappable battery and microsd slot. Samsung is actually taking a step back even omitting water resist just for a pretty/unique design and more premium materials used. The software features from the S6 Edge still drives up my curiosity.

Think I might be interested in a 128gb edge.. Looks pretty good so far but I'll hold judgement until the event and hands-on.

Lets see how the Samsung event unfolds. Hopefully the S6 edge wont be form over function. Glass backs on phones just makes them slippery and fragile.
