Ha, NOT

Sorry was pissed off after an evening of setting up new S5's for all my office mates. Was a frustrating experience. Especially since they wanted all thier texts and emails and all settings saved from thier old S3's ported to the new S5 and none of them are rooted with Titanium Backup. It wasn't hard, just time consuming. And I was shocked Touchwiz still looked like Gingerbread era Androtd on a brand new 2014 model.

You could have simply used Kies 3. Your story of difficulty doesn't add up.

Samsung also has a transfer app, that transfers everything you mentioned to new phone.

Not sure about app data, but backup SMS is a pretty good text message transfer tool, it even transfers MMS. I also agree with you on touchwiz, the dialer and contacts apps on my note look very gingerbread like. At least they're finally getting better with lollipop.
I use SMS Backup and Restore on all my personal Android phones. The backups go straight to Dropbox. Love this product!

Metal used in the gs6 is 1.5 times stronger then competition!

Yup, makes things so much easier when switching phones. Now if only there was a way to do the same but between iOS and android and I would be set.

The iPhone 6 Plus supposedly bent with not so much force so I am not sure if 1.5 times stronger is anything to brag about yet. We will learn more about it when the product has been released and if there are dozens of bend cases like the iPhone lol. Then again that died a death after a month too so it might be a good selling point after all! :)

Dual glass front and back will add strength also

But if apple used this type of aluminum it would be revolutionary!

Then it doesn't have the same weakness as the 6 plus. The button placement created a fulcrum and that is why there were some reports of bending on the 6+. But I don't think you can bend Gorilla Glass 4 so the S6 should be safe.

You're right it should add strength in theory. I would have thought it would be more than 1.5 times stronger with gorilla glass 4 being used?

Are you sure it is a different grade of aluminium or is it a tougher chassis design? Revolutionary?

Pretty sure Samsung has a patent on how they got the attenas to work without huge lines on the back also

Thanks, I will when I have a bit more time :)

My point was if apple used this type of metal first it would be praised as revolutionary and all the apple fans would brag about it and say Samsung copied us after if Samsung used it after.

Thanks, Oops just realised it doesn't say anything about being 1.5 times stronger than the iPhone, just other aluminium Android phones. My bad. :)

Then its 5x stronger then the iPhone because the htcs were a lot stronger then the iPhone 6

I doubt most Apple fans would give a toss what grade aluminium they used or would know. What grade do they use because I haven't a clue? lol I think the depth of care comes from whether it bends or not and is it going to do it to your device?

The revolutionary stance can be applied to anything Apple do because its an easy forum quip to say. :)

That is a bragging point down the pub then. Thanks for clarifying. :)

Touchwiz looks just fine on the S6. always had nova on my devices anyway. Never ruined any experience for me. It's overrated for those who moan about it.

After seeing videos of the latest touch wiz and sense, I actually prefer touch wiz. People keep saying sense is light and while that may be true there are some pretty big changes. For one the app drawer scrolls up and down. Isn't that like... Pre-ice cream sandwich? Also, I actually don't like how sense has their menus and pull down settings. It looks clunky. Also hate the way sense does the app switcher. You get nine tiles that look hard to recognize.

Whereas the new touch wiz somehow looks cleaner to me. There are more transparencies and color coordinated settings/menus. Likewise I like that touch wiz keeps the app switcher style from lollipop (the roller dex thing). Also like the way they keep closer to lollipop in the app drawer.

And at the end of the day, doesn't touch wiz offer more features? Like split screen multitasking , etc.

Anyway, all subjective and my opinion.

I bet there will be people on youtube bending this thing regardless. ;)

As a former TouchWiz user, my main issues with the skin seem to be gone with the S6. Keep in mind of course I haven't handled the phone but I've seen plenty of demos in hands-on videos. Here's what I hated and what it appears they fixed.

1. You can change the color of the quick toggles shade. (And other menus.)

2. Settings menu is much less cluttered.

3. Lag appears to be gone.

It looks like their apps for the most part are still fugly but of course you don't have to use any of them. Their stock icons however are overdue for a refresh.

The themes feature makes me very hopeful that I can be happy with the S6. If I can get a stock Lollipop theme that will replace the TouchWiz icons and change the color of the quick toggles drop down, then I could use the Google Now launcher (with stock Lollipop icons) and have a better-than-stock experience due to the additional features Samsung has added.

#7 was interesting.

Also, I'd add #11, that you can take a selfie using the heart-rate sensor on the back. Easier to press when doing selfies than pressing something in the front. ;)

Are we allowed to apply third party themes? Currently, I use Moonshine on my Oneplus, and I loveeee it.

What about taking a foreword facing shot or selfie by pressing the volume down button on the side? You've been able to do that in the iPhone for as long as I can remember so it's pretty similar on that point and just as easy :)

The other points obviously not.

It's too hard for people to press a button.

Hopefully they will still have the voice activation for the camera on the S6 and S6 Edge. No need to push a button when all you have to do is say "cheese" and it snaps the picture for you. So easy to use.

Ah, I actually didn't know that was a feature. Never mind #11 then!

That would be the ideal alright.
