I play most games on Nintendo or PlayStation, but a few games are simply better played at a computer, such as Civilization, Europa Universallis or Baldur's Gate.
That said, I am not the least interested in game streaming services. Horrible idea.
Like you, I do 99% of my gaming in PlayStation, Switch and Xbox (as well as my retro systems of course). And I totally agree that some games are just better suited to a mouse and keyboard.
I’m also not normally a fan of digital game purchases. Being an old fashioned chappie, I like a tangible product that I know, no matter what, will still be available to me in 30 years time. Just like all of my old games are.
Having said that, I am rather partial to GeForce Now. There are some games which just don’t get a physical release, so those I will buy on Steam or the Epic Store. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of, often very high quality, games you get for free from Epic - I have loads of those. And the seemingly never ending discounts and vouchers make the odd game purchases inevitable - for instance, I just purchased Metro Exodus for £3.99. Can’t resist that.
My days of spending thousands on gaming PCs stopped when I became an Apple customer a long, long time ago. So the inexpensive GeForce Now lets me play all of those games at high resolution, with maxxed out settings, ray tracing and so on, which I just couldn’t do on a Mac without external GPU’s and a good Intel system running BootCamp at least. The streaming quality is stunning (I have a 500 meg connection, so it’s always good quality), there’s so little lag that I don’t even notice it 99% of the time. Now we can even play on iPhone and iPad, which is a bonus.
I used to be dead against digital and streaming games in any way, shape or form, but I’m slowly coming round a bit - though, as long as there’s a console and physical games, those will still always be where the bulk of my gaming purchases are.
