Yeah, I'm in Yrup for 6 weeks. Berlin, Krakow, Budapest, Croatia, Slovenia and London. The weather's on the cool side but there aren't so many tourists around so that's nice. Poland, or at least krakow, isn't what I expected, I think my view of Poland comes from Polish-Americans and the Solidarity movement and Krakowians aren't anything like that. Maybe it's the proximity to Hungary and the fact that Krakow is a major university town. Anyway, you really should come here someday. It's really beautiful, just like Prague.

I could go for that, I suppose, even though Jamie Cullum and Jason Mraz aren't that attractive in my opinion. I'd rather just have a conversation with any of the three of them, to be honest . Jason Mraz's blog is quite brilliant, I'd love to talk to him about it, and about life in general. Jamie Cullum has great style, I'd love to try to get him to collaborate with some other people. Jack Johnson just seems really down to earth and cool, I'd like to sit and drink tea on a rainy day with him. Mmmmm.... tea....

Despite my adventurous life in New York, I'm quite the introvert. I live for the quaint, quiet moments I spend alone or with those I love. I just spent the last 2 hours laying on the hard floor of my dorm room, thinking about everything and nothing. Some would say I wasted two hours, but I find solace in such moments. I consider those 2 hours well spent.

On that note, I'm going to make myself some organic Moroccan Mint tea, and fall asleep with the rain tapping against the rooftops. How's that for quaint?

There will be none of that for me (taxi bussing), I'll walk through the cold. Hell, I'll put on snow shoes and trek if I have to. Back in Texas, the farthest I ever walked was to the refrigerator or to my car. Going back to that kind of sedentary lifestyle would be pure torture to me. One of the best things that moving to New York has done to me is getting me off my ass and doing things. It has benifited me physically and mentally more than you can imagine. The pants I bought a week before moving to New York don't fit me at all anymore.

One thing that I'm looking forward to, in regards to New York winters is all the pale skindness. Everyone will be all cooped up in their apartments and their beautiful tans will go away. I, being naturally pale skinned, and unable to tan (I go from white to red/sunburnt in the sun), will be in my element. It'll be like that movie where the blind girl destroys all the sources of light in her house before the murderer comes, so that she's on a level playing field . I've always been annoyed that I can't tan.

No way would I consider those couple of hours wasted at all Emerson. I try and have an hour so in what I call my 'quiet time' each day. Sometimes I'll doze off, but then I'll be able to use the dreamtime in my art. Don't sleep too well of late, perhaps four hours and later in the day an hour or two more.

Rain on the windows is awesome. There's three big silver birch trees close by and the sounds of wind in the branches, with rain on the roof too. For the last 20 years I've lived in apartment blocks - no roof, so since moving here last year I relish those sounds. And if it's still and quiet, as I lay in bed, the calls of the Morepork (a native NZ owl, it's call is exactly like it's name sounds) My place looks straight out onto a bush reserve, of which we have a lot. A couple hundred meters down the road is a native plant reserve, great little trails and all native plants. It's wicked. Shame my neighbours are all a bunch of pillocks though. Since coming sick, I keep much to myself now. In fact I think I'll become an eremite, oh no, wait up. I'm not a christian. Have to be an ascetic.

The whole 'fall asleep after drinking my tea and listening to the rain' thing didn't work out. I took a shower and it woke me up rather than put me to sleep. Plus, I don't think I'd be able to get up for my class tomorrow if I went to bed right now. I think I'm going to make an early morning trek to K-Mart to get some cheap underwear and t-shirts . We agree on one artist at least . I left him out of my list for some odd reason, I'll add him. He had such a beautiful tenor voice, definitely one of my favorite male tenors. Great for another tenor to sing along to.

And I've always found it amusing that track 2 from 'Chet Baker Plays and Sings the Great Ballads' is I Fall in Love too Easily and track 4 is I've Never Been in Love Before.

Bringing back some places, and associated people memories, should bring nice thoughts as I drop off. I'ts 11.40pm (Friday night) and I'm tired, replete, and fair off my face. I, too, dislike laundry. The washers and dryers in my building aren't very good, so it's a real pain to pay $1.25 to get your clothes sort of clean and then another $1.75 to get your clothes almost dry.

If you're refering to the Barr Mansion, it definitely is nice in its own way, but growing up there wasn't all that great. Nobody would come to my house because it looks like a haunted house. I wasn't allowed to have a dirty room, because my room was where the brides changed. We never had cable TV, gaming systems, etc. My room was occupied by brides many days of the weeks and I'd have to sleep with both my sisters in a small bed in a hot kitchen.

Fortunately we moved to another house in the northern Austin suburbs where I could live a more normal life when I was 9. It is 11 acres of property along a creek. It is very serene, and filled with wildlife. There's always deer in the field, interesting birds by the creek, and all kinds of animals around.

I still prefer New York though, I'm a city boy .

...I ended up leaving only an hour after I came...I... positioned myself next to a hot guy... I was super surprised because he immediately came...and...then every once in a while he would back away...I was..confused...he sensed that I was...disappointed...He went off by his lonesome and...appeared to...enjoy...himself, so I was happy...alone for a while...but...got tired really fast...Within 30 minutes...an icky guy with...the biggest...came...behind me...He immediately put his hands in my pants.. and I enjoyed myself a lot...but the wetness is totally impeding...my ability...Soon it will be to cold to do it...I'm feeling a lot better about my...it was way too short...it is starting to look a lot better...I don't wear...much anymore...

You should avoid the sun if you can't tan. It means you have very little melanin and therefore minimal natural protection from UV rays. Wear sunscreen as much as you can. You could really do some serious damage you'll regret in the not-so-distant future. I'm talking seeing a big difference in your skin by age 25. (OMG- I sound like a doctor) But trust me, the guys you see all tanned right now, will look like alligators before they're even 30.

The shoot was good last night. I got to murder a 21 year old college student in a bathtub. He was cute. Although, the director got red Karo syrup instead of stage blood, which made everything sticky and difficult to work with.

Yeah, I don't think I'd tan if I could. I don't find tanned skin any sexier than untanned skin. But it annoys me that tanned skinned is percieved as being sexier, in general. Oh well.
