Didn't know Seth or Osiris, and refused to make me as a pharao.Out of curiosity can someone that has access to this tell me if it can make Cthulhu or ancient Egyptian gods![]()
I found once I stopped checking it turned up. That’s not a scientific reasoning and in shape or form. But kind of forgot I requested access then it turned up.They don’t seem to be approving many people to get into the AI beta. I have two devices that have been waiting since a day after the release version came out on Monday. Still nothing. I see others having the same issue.
Yeah, I agree with you. I've been using Apple products since the crustaceous period and never really cared for the basic animations or games they've had over the years. 🤷♂️Seems like a convoluted way to express words. How many users are going to spend the time doing this?
The whole reason why emoji are popular is because everyone can identify with them, and many are instantly recognisable. Plus they’re quick to insert into text.
But who knows, maybe it’s more fun than it sounds and looks.
It doesn’t look hideous to me, but it does look useless. This is not the world changing application of AI I had in mind.Wow, all of this looks hideous
I spend a lot of my workdays in Slack, where you can upload any image to act as an emoji for reactions. I was very much looking forward to Genmoji to be able to do something similar in texts.Seems like a convoluted way to express words. How many users are going to spend the time doing this?

To my understanding it is not possible because it utilizes on device processing for quicker generation. It’s like emojis that are already on your phone. Could you imagine every time you wanted to use an emoji it had to be downloaded to be sent. Why isn't this possible via cloud? Genmoji should be available for all supported iOS 18 devices.

Actually it is a problem in many places you don’t have cell signal but have WiFi, it doesn’t always work. For example at my job, GIFs do not work on the WiFi, not sure if it has something to do with them blocking google services. In fairness that's exactly how gifs in iMessage works and that doesn't seem to be a problem.

With on device generating this wouldn’t be a problem. Can you imagine the uproar if Apple releases this feature that doesn’t work when connected to certain wireless networks.
Not for me. I got both at the same time. Are you sure you're looking for it in the right spot?I have access to image playground, but I don’t have genmoji. Is it separated for others?
Apples whole take on AI is that it is done on device for privacy. Your data stays on device. That's what differentiates them. They have a Cloud version that has privacy built in(and can be verified by third parties), but that requires Apple's servers and money to run, for much bigger requests and wouldn't makes sense for something so simple that could be built on device that has the processing power to run locally. Why isn't this possible via cloud? Genmoji should be available for all supported iOS 18 devices.
I’m not sure, as I haven’t seen it referenced anywhere. I just updated to 18.2 beta 2 and still don’t see it at all. Is it elsewhere? Not for me. I got both at the same time. Are you sure you're looking for it in the right spot?

It’s not straightforward if so.
Edit: I found it in Notes and Mail, but not in Messages. Weird.
