iPhone X was the new era of Apples phones the new designs for anything after was going to be the NOTCH ..

19 iPhone XR (LAUNCH - September 21st, 2018)
20 iPhone XS (LAUNCH - September 21st, 2018)
21 iPhone XS Max (LAUNCH - September 21st, 2018)

33 iPhone 13 Pro Max (LAUNCH - September 24th, 2021) - SMALLER NOTH

IPHONE 14 - NO NOTCH ....

Okay you see my point the 14 WILL SET A NEW STANDARD. People who have the 8 Plus or Orignal iPhone design like the SE its not accepted in society. Its "Old" "dated" tech ..............

The iPhone 14 has no notch and the 15 - 16 - 17 that will be the new standard exactly like the data I have added together states

SO .......

YOUR iPHONE 13 WILL BE OUTDATED DESIGN AND TECH As s00N AS THE 14 DROPS ........................

So yes you should get the 14 the 15 and 16 no need same design different insides

My Super amazing apple 14 data thread .... https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...or-changes-relating-to-the-iphone-14.2313936/
This looks like a troll post. I’m happy with my iPhone 13 Pro Max I paid $2000 for last year. I don’t want to spend that kind of money on a new phone every single year. Besides, the iPhone 14 lineup is still gonna have that crappy lightning port. Good luck trying to get those massive 8K files off your phone quickly

This thread title should be changed to specifically reference the pro, as it’s likely the standard 14 will have a notch and so none of this applies

I do get the sentiment though, yes I know nobody supposedly cares what phone you have but there is something satisfying about having the latest model, especially when there is a significant design change such as bezels to notch, or from notch to pill. It’s nice to have the latest tech, in the same way that it’s nice to have a nice car

When the X came out it was a huge deal, and seeing one in the wild was quite a big deal for a while let alone owing one. Sadly I did not have an X, with my first notched iPhone being the XR. But this time I am very tempted to upgrade from an iPhone 13 to 14 Pro, for these reasons, even though it is totally unnecessary
When you spend along time between upgrades as I did going from a 7 + to a 13 Pro Max it does feel like a big jump.

Nah I think I'm good. I'll be sticking with my 13 Pro for the foreseeable future. The removal of the notch is not enough to warrant me getting a new phone.

Now if lightning was removed and replaced with USB-C, and/or we got the headphone jack back, then that would be enough to warrant me getting a new phone.

Who cares what's "accepted" in society, if all you can afford is the SE, go for it. If you can't afford to upgrade from the 8, keep it. If you just bought the 13 and love it, keep it. I buy/upgrade my tech for what I does for me not so I have "acceptable by society" tech.

Their post is intentionally ignoring the fact that the 8 and X were released at the same time in that line.
