I’ve owned a SE for a year and a few days ago I got the XR. The SE is an incredible phone. But... sometimes the small screen feels very limiting. For example when you read email or text. You have to constantly scroll to view all content.

With the XR on the other hand everything is super comfortable on the screen. The only problem is that one handed use is not easy.

In the end it all comes down to personal preference. Both are great phones that will serve you well.

Agreed. I guess, for me, since I have a million devices already, from AppleTV to iPads to MacBooks to Kindle e-readers, portability is still the key iPhone ingredient, to me. If I'm at home, I have plenty of other larger screen devices to consume content with.

As I mentioned above, an SE-sized phone with the new style, all-over screen would be about perfect.

A true 4 inch phone would be great.

The Only general complaint I have about the SE, is the resolution. But what I would do, is is use my larger iPhone and switch Sim cards when I wanted to use the SE at the time. In addition, (And this might sound rather frivolous for something to mention), but I never cared for the sharp edges on the SE compared to the rounded edges on the iPhone 6 through 8, it just was much more comfortable holding the 4.7/5.5 iPhones with rounded edges in the hand versus the SE.

Interesting. The round edge phones feel much more like a slippery bar of soap, to me, especially without a case. I used to drop my 6 much more than my SE. Plus, I like the more masculine, Braun-esque design of the hard edge cases.

Me too. I bought an XR yesterday, but I’m returning it today to go back to my SE, and I’ll just hope Apple figures out that some of us still want phones that disappear in our pockets.

I have to admit I was a bit wrong. Opened the SE and configured it. Starting using it. Missing XR.

Screen is noticeably more bland colorwise and camera is miles behind.

I also tried my coworkers 8 today and it too felt aged to be frank, men the size and weight felt really nice.

I must also admit that picking up the phone without thinking of biometric input and just swiping away is really intuitive. :)

Yep, it's just a matter of priorities. For mobile devices, being mobile is very important to me, and, if I need to consume content on a larger screen, I have zillions of options at home. I'd love to see an SE-sized phone with the new all-over screen, or maybe even an iPhone 4 sized phone with the all-over screen design.

I think the problem for me is that Apple is now assuming that our phones are our main content consumers/computers, both at home and on the go, and that will likely never be the case for me.

I use my phone for a lot of stuff, but browsing the web and using apps just looked cramped when used to the larger XR screen. A slightly larger SE with X-series look would be very much welcome.
