Go to the "Redeem" section of the App Store on your phone or in iTunes (same as where you would put a code in for an iTunes Card) Then all you have to do is type in the code
post which one you took

Installous is a way for people who can't be bothered to pay $1 to support the developer to download an app. Please don't mention it.
well since i've yet to steal it(and yes, it's on installous), mind sending some generosity my way? atleast i'd be able to rate it and give some input.
Why be an ass when someone is being generous? - Why do you think you're more entitled to a free app than anyone else? You missed the codes, as did I, but I'm not going to be a jerk about it.
I appreciate what iSkythe is doing. Not many developers reach out to people and give away free copies of their applications. I think it's a fair gesture and you should respect him / her for being generous with the community.

Thank you jchinson and ghostshadow for explaining the difference, and I appreciate it But now that it's been talked about, I'd rather end the argument here before it turns into a flame war. I can't stop anyone from downloading my app via Installous, I can just hope the vast majority of people choose to support it by buying it on the App Store.

That more than likely means it's been used. I've removed the codes to prevent confusion.
